Was watership down film-ised by disney? *puzzpuzz* I did START to read watership down.. and then I skipped through it.. It really scared me (I was about 10).
I think one of the best things about classics is that most of them are 1-book stories.. you dont get left wondering if there'll be another one. (although I do like series of books too)

What is watership down? I haven't had much time to read nowadays, but I heard that Vanity Fair is a really nice book (how could I have missed it?!)
Go Brynna! I'll definitely read your book! ;D I'm only good at writing manga-ish stuff and sci-fi, so...

Watership Down is like Farthing Wood (ever seen that?) but with bunnies. It's basically about some rabbits who need to go find some evil rabbit for some reason and, er.. well the first version of the film was marketted to children (when my mum was little XD) but it was very gorey and scary. I saw it when I was really little and I didn't go near my rabbit for weeks X3 (my parents had to feed it). Although, I do kinda want to see the film again now since I'm older. I still remember the opening theme though *sings* 'Bright eyes.. burning like fire... lalalalala' *hit by random flying book*

I like both, except some series just drag too long, then they become boring... Rabbits finding an evil rabbit? Evil bunnies? Fufufufufu...

Eh? That sounds like 'Bunicula' .. um.. dont ask.. it's a book about a vampire bunny XD I haven't read it, just snippits of it ^_^;
I like both too, unless they drag on and on and on.. I always say 'I wish there was a sequel', but with some things I guess it's better not to have a sequel.

I was like that too with Spirited Away... I wanted a sequel, but I think it would be pretty bad...
A book about a vampire bunny? I have to read that ;D

I've read watership down three times and it's really good. (but then again i was obsessed with rabbits at the time, i think a had about 13- even though seven of them were babies and didn't really count...)
Talking of vampires has anyone read dracula? I tried to but then couldn't because i thought it was really hardgoing. I had a book when i was little called the whispering rabbit, about a rabbit that swallowed a bee so couldn't make any loud sounds and the bee survived being swallowed (which come to think of it was probably impossible) and then at the end the bee flew off and the rabbit went to sleep. That was one exciting book.

hehe.... cant be as bad as some things!!
Like those books you physically can't read. Not because they're necessarily bad... You just find your eyes closing and you're losing the will to live, let alone turn the page... you know which books i mean!!

Heh XD <3 turkish delight *¬* I started reading Dracula once, but then our English teacher announced that she had made a mistake and we were supposed to be reading Frankenstein instead. XD
AH! The vampire, Lestat.. like Interview with a vampire? OwO I want to read that... it's just something about the name 'Lestat'. *ponders*
This is verging on the topic of 'manga'. But did you know that new novels of mangas are being released by TokyoPop? It's like they get every book in a series and condense it into a novel :3 I might buy one to see what they're like. @~@

THat sounds a bit weird. I'm not sure if I'd like that!! Yeah, The Vampire Lestat is the sequel to Interview with a Vampire. (and the third on's called Queen of the Dmaned) I haven't read interview with a Vampire yet... after i finish with my MAHUSSIVE reading pile then I will!!! There was a character on an old site we used to be a member of - is that it?

Nopeh... I just hear the name 'Lestat' and have to read whatever book it's in XD I think it reminds me of the summer-time for some reason.. and of when I was little.. there was a cartoon with somebody called 'lestat' :3 I'm not entirely sure I like the idea of a manga-novel either. Because I figure mangas are different from books in that they are stories told through picture (well duh). Um.. it's hard to explain. I just think there are some stories that are told better through images and some told better through words. *nodnod* ..Anyway, that's why ima buy one XD 1)So I can say I've read it and like/dislike it, 2)You never know, it might be good and I might get addicted. 3)If the books are awful, I'll know so I wont have to think everytime I see or hear about one 'hmm, I wonder if they're good'... yeah. I have wierd philosophies XD Are there any books people are looking forward to coming out? I cant wait for the final Harry Potter book (although it will be kinda sad to know there wont be any more coming out). I'm waiting for the next Artemis Fowl book too, and the next Georgia Nickolson book.

Yes! The next Georgia Nicholson book should be fabby I think that Mas will turn her down and she and D the L will FINALLY get together!!! At last! And the next Harry Potte book should be good. Although Harry is blatantly going to die... hang on, I'm gonna make a whole new thread about this because I have a looooooot to say on the subject!

Yay! .. I mean.. oh no how awful -_- I kinda hope the Harry Potter books end well... I know we already had that collosal thread about it on a board about a year ago, but I think the best ending would be; 'then Harry woke up' XD ..okay, so maybe not XD I know! Harry is sent to prison for indecent assault of an elderly member or society where he becomes somebody's prison bitch... OwO ... I dont know where that outburst came from... but it could happen.. IT COULD! *waves arms and legs about maniacally*
