The Fate of Harry Potter

While it is blatantly going to affect the mental helth of children all over the world, I strongly suspect that Harry Will Not Make It.

It's obvious that he's going to die, because there's no way he could just kill Voldemort and then dust his hands saying, Well, that's that little problem dealt with!" and then go and live a normal, happy life. He is either going to e left horribly mentally scarred, or die, and I'm guessing the latter suggestion is more likely. So, the real question is, how and why?

This bit's written in beige so people don't have to read it incase they donm't want to hear this theory - my friend came up with it, and it is so clever that it will most likely be what happens. So BE WARNED!! Her theory is that HP is the final Horcrux - so in order for Voldemort to die, then harry has to die too. She also thinks that he will use the time turner to split himself to seperate himself from voldemort and thats how JK Rowling will allow him to live, but I think that very unlikely. JKR has said in previous intereviews trhat rgight from when she started the first book she'd already written the final chapter of the final book, which implies that it was an ending she didn't really want to write.

So, I reckon it'll finish with ROn and Hermione comforting each other over the deceased Harry.

Any other thoughts?

Yus. Using Harry's blood for Voldemort's resurection in book 4 may not have been so clever X3 Harry and Voldemort could have different blood types XD

In 'The half-blood prince', at the end, there was that note left in that thing Dumbleydore thought was a horcrux. Could that be one of the characters in the FUTURE? Um.. okay, I had this theory down a minute ago, but I'm finding it hard to explain now.

I totally agrew with you Lady Brynna Halider. I never read the books of LotR but at the very end of the movie they showed how it was impossible for Frodo to live a normal life after all that he went through. I think it will be a similar situation for Harry. Or he'll die, but after destroying Voldemort.

Yeah, I agree with you both! Couldn't quite bring myself to read you spoiler/idea though... I want to wait and see what happens.
But your lotr point is very good - it wouldn't have worked if at the end of rotk frodo just lived happily ever after and had lots of hairy-footed children, so I guess it can't work for Harry either.

Which is a shame ebcause, as you said, it's going to leave millions of children very upset!

Did anybody watch the interview with JKR on the special features of the Harry Potter 3 dvd? She said there was alot of stuff that the director put in the film that was scarilly close to book 7. Me and my friend went through that film again and again trying to pin-point bits which are in the film, but not the book. (alas, there were so many XD)
But the only part that really stuck out was Harry flying through the clouds above the quiddich pitch being chased by dementors... that could happen.

As the for talking dis-embodied heads, Egore, Ron having designer wear (despite apparently being poor) and the time turner mysteriously having enough chain to go around Hermione and Harry's necks with room to spare.. I dont think those will come up in book 7. *ponders*

I do wonder though, if the last horcrux might involve Harry having to kill somebody he loves (or vice versa).
Also, rumour has it we meet a completely new main character in the 7th book. I dont really see how that will work so late on in the series. I also heard dragons play a big part in the 7th book. (well, not a BIGbig part, but I mean, they feature). I have to wonder if there will be a big land-war like in 'The lion, the witch and the wardrobe'...

I think these are all great ideas though I wouldn't be entirely fussed if Harry died. I know I'm evil but hey I don't like him that much. All clever ideas i have none what so ever. Umm I hope Ron and Hermione get together becuase JKRowlings dragged it out for so long if they don't I will be vair dissapointed in her and them. But going back to Harry dying/being mentally disturbed there's tons of stuff she could do so I guess we'll all have to keep guessing at what happens till we read it ourselves.

Yeah I never thought Daniel Radcliff was a very good actor but he gets better everytime, but not good enough.

I think that it would be terribly cheesy of Rowling to have Hermione and Ron marry and name their child Harry. I wouldn't like it very much but I can totally see it happening.

What do you think will happen with Ginny if Harry dies? Do you think she will kill herself or maybe marry Neville? ha.

Or maybe Harry will get killed trying to get to Voldemort. And then Neville will come along and destroy Voldemort. That would be funny.

INFACT, it turns out that Dumbledore is evil and Voldemort is the hero of the book. He kills Harry, marries mcgonagal and runs away with her to live in pixie-land.

Hm. I don't like Harry very much either, Kai. I used to, but by the fifth book I just wanted to slap him! That "poor me" attitude really sucks! Haha, Maybe Ginny will marry Voldemort if Harry dies? Who knows, it could happen!

It could turn out that the whole time it LOOKED like Ron and Hermione liked each other when in actual fact they had some inside joke about Harry .. or er.. something, that they kept talking and arguing about.

HOYEAH. Harry goes all emo and 'woe is me' X3 I thought that was funny actually.

They could introduce a new character called 'Jimbob' who Hermione could go off with. Harry could discover that he is infact a uenic, that would be the last straw and he would throw himself off of a bridge. Ron could disappear for the remainder of the book (popping in occassionally to scream at spiders) and Jimbob could defeat Voldemort!

What I dont get is, why oh why did all the wizards not drink tonnes of that 'good-luck potion' or something when Voldemort was around.. and why can they not do it now? Maybe they could get really lucky and Voldemort could choke on a bean or something *puzzpuzz*

I was listening to random audio-taped of harry potter and the goblet of fire while I was doing my art coursework the other day - and I realised something - possibly something important.
Right at the beginning of book 4, it says that the maid came in and ALL THREE riddles were dead. Then it clearly stated that mr riddle, mrs riddle AND TOM RIDDLE were lying dead on the floor and that all three of them had post-mortems and were buried. Then it goes on to say that the only person seen anywhere near the house before they died had been a pale man with dark hair.
I'm so confused now. Maybe it was just a mistake JKRowling made? Or perhaps not...

(also - has anybody ever noticed how people are always saying how incredibly intelligent hedwig is - perhaps another animagus?)
