Cody nodded, indeed he was loyal to the King, the King had promised him refuge and a room. The lest he could do was enter his military and bring peace to the land.
"My liege, I Cody Evans pledge myself to protect this Kingdom and its people. My lord if it please you I would like to join the ranks of your military. I will protect this land, you and your daughter with my life. I will honor this kingdom and my ancestors in battle."
Cody kneeled as layed his huge two meter long great-hammer at the King's feet something a Colossus has never done.

The King was a little surprised, but immensely pleased that Cody had decided to join the ranks of his army. He look cheerily at the boy; he was strong, a good fighter no doubt.
"Cody Evans, I am delighted to welcome you into the ranks of the Golden Land's Army." He smiled. "If you go to the Army Head Quarters, there you can recieve further instructions about divisions and the like. And," He continued, winking, "I'm sure one day you would make a fine Commander!"

Cody grinned at the King's praise. He rose up off the his knees picking up his great-hammer and as he turned to leave he nodded at Father Luca and Dahrin. As he left he turned one last time and caught the eye of the King.
"Indeed my lord, I will bring about reckoning on those that would seek to destroy this kingdom." As he walked out he knew that his running from the Circle was over, he, the last of the Colossus had submitted to a King. A first in the history of the Colossus ever. Thern and Rael would make war against him personally. They would seek to destory the Kingdom he sought to protect. He would die on the battlefield surronded by the bodies of his foes. The Colossus name would go down in infamy.

Darhin watched as his friend left, glad to see he had made his choice. He knew that Cody was a galant warrior, one that lives and thrives in battle. He will do well. He turned to the King, suddenly aware he was in the presense of the Ruler of the Golden Lands, and a priest of God. He almost felt as if he was chrushed underneath the guilt, the guilt of keeping such a precious secret. He knew that if the subject came up he would have to lie to these men. He didn't like that thought at all.
He tried to hide the feeeling, "My liege, I am glad for my friend, but I am afraid I can not join him in battle, I am no warrior. I am just a farm boy. I hope this does not displease you." He paused for a moment, when the King said nothing he continued, "as for your question, it took place out in the plains, outside of Calamere."

Father Luca was tired from the quest and decided to retire to the room which the King so graciously offered him, "If you excuse me now your highness I will reitre to the room which you graciously offered to me and beging my evening prayers and get some rest." he told the king, "If there is anything you require of me please do not hesitate to summon me no matter the time." he said. He bowed in an eastern fashion and walked quietly to the door.

With the priest gone, Darhin was now alone with the King. He felt uneasy. And wasn't sure how to act. He stood tall, frantically thinking of all the manners and customs that he learned back in Thern that taught how one should act in Court. As he bowed to the King he just hoped that the Thernian customs were similiar to that of the Golden Lands. He waited patiently for the King to reply.
