Deep below the foundations of the castle lie the most terrifying place in all of the Golden Lands. Rats scurry in and out of cells, cobwebs thickly line the ceiling, and chains clink forebodingly at the walls. The dungeons are rarely used anymore, but if a character truly behaves intolerably, then they are liable to be locked up here for any amount of time, from a few days to several months. However, in these peaceful times it seems unlikely that the Dungeons will need to be often used. Rumours of war from the west are ignored by the King, entitled "Keeper of the Peace" by some and "fool" by others, and so for the meanwhile the Dungeons are reasonably empty, save for the odd thief or two. The Castle relies on the Dungeon Master to keep such miscreants under lock and key.
