Having made the short but difficult journey up the hill to the Castle, your first impression of the building is one of great awe. Many ornate turrets spiral upwards, and the walls are laced with stairs and balconies. A few gargoyles are dotted about the roves, and two giant stone dragons guard the Castle’s main gateway. You nervously walk past them and the drawbridge lowers over the moat. Trying to ignore the water-serpents that are snapping at your heels from the moat, you finally enter the Castle. Highly polished wooden floors stretch out away from you in all directions, and a grand staircase that leads to the other floors is in front of you. You glance back over your shoulder and see the Castle’s coat-of-arms hanging above the door. You are at a loss for words. Suddenly, a tall man comes through from a nearby room. He takes your bags, and asks if you will be staying for just a short while, or if you would like your luggage taken up to the bedchambers. You reply, and he then bows before striding off. There are so many rooms for you to see here that you do not know where to go first

Kuna burst through the doors and breathed in and out heavily. Trying to make herself look more presentable she picked a few leaves out of her hair and flattened it. She smoothed out her dress and flicked off some of the dirt. Once she regained her breath she walked down the wooden hall, her every foot step echoing. She headed toward the staircase. Hopefully her father would not be too mad. She started to imagine what he would he might say if she had been half an hour later. She admired the beautiful decoration, no matter how often she walked down this hall it always managed to find something different about it. She nodded as a pesponse to a guard saying hello. She placed her hand on the banister and started to walk up.

"Kuna!" The King burst out from a room outside, followed by his entourage of minstrels, handservants and bodyguard. He gave her a slightly severe look, and then sighed heavily. His daughter was a wanderer, a dreamer... Not a Princess. She had the compassion and understanding needed of a Princess, but no desrie for responsibility and power. He knew she just wanted to travel.
"Kuna..." He said again. "You know you mustn't keep just leaving like this... I worry. The Palace servants worry. I have yet to find a bodyguard who can keep you under watch! Perhaps one does not exist. But for now, I am glad to have you back. Come, we will go and eat."
Clapping his hands together, a servant scurried off to tello the kitchens to prepare food. Extending an arm to his daughter, he looked at her in a way that was both stern and yet also understanding. he dare not run the risk of alienating her and having her run off even more often, but all the same, he couldn't allow her to keep running off... He didn't know what to do.

Kuna took her fathers arm wondering what he was thinking. She smiled at her father. "I'm sorry father....I know I shouln't leave the castle so often and I will try my hardest to stay if it will make you happy. And don't worry I'm sure a suitable body guard will trun up eventually, your lands are large I'm sure there has to be at least one person. Why not get a servant to look for one in the streets? Just an idea." She added on hastily. She wouldn't mind having a bodyguard if it enabled her to travel after all that would be better then staying in the castle. But she knew it would happen in good time.

"Of course... of course... If such a bodyguard exists, then he will be found!" He used a rough finger to turn Kuna's face up to look at him. "If it will make you happy," he said gently, "Then I will have every servant in the Castle dispatched, to search for a bodyguard so that you may trvael about as you please, and I can rest happy knowing that my daughter is safe. I don't... I don't mean to be hard on you, my little Kuna." He said fondly. "But I can't help worrying about you. As peaceful as the Golden Lands are... There are lands beyond are borders. Who would not hesitate at kidnapping a Princess to try and take over our kingdom..."
The King paused. "But if it will make you happy, a hunt for a bodyguard shall begin."

"Thank you father," she hugged him. He really did care for her and it made her feel so warm inside. She thought about the castle and realised it was very huge and that she could stop going out so much, that was until she had her body guard. She stepped away from her father and smiled. "I might go down to the lake in a minute would you care to join me?"

"Of course, my love," The King smiled at her. "We shall take out food, adn have the finest boat ready to take us out. Just the two of us. And then we can continue to discuss the issue of your bodyguard." He said. He paused for a moment, thoguthful.
"I wonder," he said, "I wonder if you'd like a party at Court? Perhaps amongst those who turn up, a suitable bodyguard might be found."

"That would be a fine idea. But please do not feel the need to send out messengers at once. I don't mind waiting, do things at your own pace." She smiled broadly "Come on lets get going!" She walked towards the doors and pushed them wide open, the sunlight poured in and made the hall all the more magnificent.
