The Balconies

[King Thedriol]

Out on the Castle's balconies you can see out far across the city. The misty gold haze that blurs from the twisting sandstone spires that build up the city is soothing to watch, especially on a beautiful evenings sunset. Quiet and peacful for the most part, the soft wind caresses your cheek as you survey the landscape.

[Lienne Matsuki]

Lienne nearly ran onto the balcony. She inhaled deeply and brused the tears from her eyes. That memory was a painful one. Kuro nudged her side and smiling down at him stroked him.
"It's nothing. I'm fine."
Looking out at the kingdom below her she felt peaceful inside. She could stay here. It felt at ease unlike the many villages she had passed through before. The wind blew her hair behind her and try as she might she couldn't bring it back to hide her face. Letting go of her, she noticed a small flower trying to grow through the hard concrete. Smiling she placed her hands above each other. A glowing faint green colour surronded them and the flower rose out of the ground.

[Kai]

Kai was about to go and check and see if Lienne was alright when he had a second thought. He stopped by the door and peered round. His eyes widened in surprise as he saw Lienne make a flower grow right out of the concrete. She was an earth elementalist? He knew that all elementalists but earth was one of the most powerful. It could move the very thing you stood on. Taking a breath he prepared to go and talk to her. At this moment she seemed angry and likely to do anything. He'd have to be careful. He walked out and leaned agaisnt the wall.
"That's pretty cool. How long have you been studying your magic for?"
He was intrested. She seemed to have complete control over her magic. He could control it most of the time but occasionally it would get out of hand. If she was good maybe she could help him train himself.

[Liam]

Liam and Bella stepped onto the balconies but stayed in a corner so they would not disturb the others.

"Have you ever been to the castle?" Liam asked.

[renyrain]

'Never, but I'm so exited to finally visit." Bella said, glancing over the railing. "Oh the view is spectacular!"

Eying the city below she continued. "what made you decide to visit the castle?"

[Liam]

Liam smiled, and agreed that the view was lovely.

"Actually, I'm her for diplomacy. My job is to make sure Calemere wouldn't attack us if other countries do."

[Lienne Matsuki]

Lienne eyed Kai nervously. He knew she was an earth elementalist? It came back with a sudden hit he must've seen her making the flower grow. He didn't seem bothered by it though.
"Since I was little. It was the only thing I could use to keep my father away," she continued to watch him warily, "Why aren't you scared? Most people would've fled by now screaming elementalist throughout the castle."
Intrigued by this she was quite forward with what she had said and waited eagerly for him to reply.

[renyrain]

"People are attacking you! Why would anyone attack another country?! War is so moronic!!!" Bella cried. "Why did they send you? You could get hurt!"

[Liam]

Liam was surprised at how vehement the girl was.

"Don't worry about me. I'm not in any real danger. They sent me because I wanted to explore the golden lands. The war is horrible, and I worry about the safety of my people, but as long as I'm here I'm perfectly safe. That's part of the reason my father sent me. Also, I've always wanted to explore the golden lands. Haven't you ever wanted to do something like that?"

[renyrain]

"I supose so. But I don't really have any people to protected." Bella said bitterly. "Besides no ones ever really cared about me."

[Liam]

'Why wouldn't someone care about you?" Liam asked surprised. "I've only met you a minute ago, and I think your wonderful."

[renyrain]

"Really? You do?" said Bella. She couldn't help hanging on his every word.

[Liam]

"why yes." He sputtered embarrassed. "You a lovely person, and a wonderful dancer." He smiled.

[renyrain]

"Oh, I've never met someone who thought I was lovely, or cared if I could dance." said Bella, trying to hide the fact that she was blushing.

[Liam]

"I only speak the truth." Liam replied half-bowig playfully. He glanced over the railing. "Oh wow, look at the sky!"

The stars were out and were swirling in the cerulean sky. IT remended him of the sky of Aureate and found comfort that no matter where he went the sky would always be beautiful.

[renyrain]

"it is beautiful." Bella said, they stood in silence for awhile before she asked. "Liam? would you like to get together sometime, to practice are fighting skills? I'm an archer."

[Kai]

"Why aren't I scared? I thought that'd be obvious. It's because I'm an elementalist too." He smiled at her.
"I haven't met any others yet. Your the first one. Anyway you seem pretty in control of your powers, I can control mine ok but I need more practise. So I was wondering whether or not you could help me train a bit? After all that way you'll have a friend."
He waited. That was the question he had been dying to ask. He wanted to know the answer now. He had too.

[Liam]

"Of course, I'd love to see you again. In fact, we should meet at the training grounds tomorrow, I need to be near there any way to try and gain the post of body guard."
He yawned. Embarrassed he excused himself.
"Right now I suppose we should go home to bed. Do you have any place to stay?"

[renyrain]

"Oh, no. I forgot to find a place." Bella said feeling very embarrassed to have forgotten. "What am I going to do?"

[Lienne Matsuki]

"Train you? You want me to train you?" She was shocked. He didn't have control pver his powers? That was not what she had expected to hear or the fact that he was an elementalist too. "I suppose I could though I wouldn't have a clue where to start. After all your power is differentto mine? Isn't it?"
Immdiatley she started to think of the different things she could show him. Racking her brains she began to come up with a paln. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. Of course Kuro would have to be included somehow. She wouldn't just leave him out of the picture.
