This tavern is the best in town! It's always busy and there's always hustle and bustle with people coming and going and drinking a little more than they should. Visitors are always welcomed by the flirtatious and curvatious Rosie the barmaid! Ale and beer are mainly served here as well as a range of un-alcoholic drinks. Drop by the tavern at any time for a chat with the staff or the regulars, it's a great place to meet new people and make new friends... or enemies. But, the tables are always polished to a high sheen and there's always room for an extra person at the bar.

[Kai]

Kai opened the heavy door and walked inside. It was obviously a very popular tavern, you could pratically see your face in the tables, men and women sat near each other flirting. He felt slightly out of place as everyone seemed to know everyone else. He walked toward the bar and Rosie kitted him out and set him straight to work. He was a little unprepared to be set to work straight away but as he saw how many people there was drinking he wasn't surprised.
"Get us a beer boy and be quick about it!" called an angry customer.
Kai worked furiously to get all the orders done, but there never seemed to be an end to the ever flowing orders. He groaned this wasn't going to be as easy as he first thought. He inhaled deeply and coughed. He stank of beer and ale. He wasn't used to the odour, he felt suffocated but he had applied for the job, he'd just have to get tougher.

[Lady Brynna Halider]

Brynna walked as gracefully into the tavern as she could. Bearing in mind the condition her feet were in, she felt that she manged this pretty well, and then held the door open for her two companions to follow her inside. The tavern was unusually quite that evening, and she had no trouble spotting a nice little table by a window.

She looked over to where a Waiter was busy being rushed off his feet, and smiled over at him, gesturing for him to come over and take their orders. She smiled at the clean tables, which were very much to her liking with small red flowers in bunches on the tabletops, and then looked up to her two friends, hoping that they too liked her little hideaway.

[Kai]

Kai noticed a girl come into the building and sat by the window. He gathered from her expression that she wanted him to come and take her order. He walked over to where she was and said
"Welcome to The Golden Gorse. My name is Kai. We all hope that you enjoy your stay here. What would you like me to get for you and your friends?" he hoped it wouldn't take to long, he was still only in his first few hours and he was already desperate to get away from it. As for where Rogan was he had no idea. He'd probably have to spend hours looking for him later. He heard a few calls from around him asking for him to take their orders he turned round and apoligised for the wait and explaining as to why it was. He turned back to the girl and her friends.

[cien]

Cien followed Lady Brynna into the tavern. She had slid on her eyeglass, this time, with a green-tinted lens. Cien loved places like this. The amount of information she could get in just one sitting was too attractive. Even so, there was a lot to filter out... ouch.

As she sat by the window she noticed that the waiter seemed a little overwhelmed. 'Kai?' she thought, 'And a new worker... with an...interesting friend.' She did not need her eyeglass to see his strained expression.

Slipping her hand into her pocket, she pulled out Puru-puru, who began to investigate it's new surroundings immediately.
It sniffed and bounced up and down excitedly. Cien laughed and turned back to the waiter. "It seems like Puru-puru is hungry, but you seem tired. Have you been working for very long?"

[Rose]

Rose sat down beside Cien and watched Puru-puru smelling the flowers on thier table, she was faintly aware of Cien speaking with the waiter but was distracted by the large window she was sitting beside, which gave her an excellent view of the street. She could hear a faint familiar noise in the back of her thoughts and concentrated on it. Whisper, who she had tied up outside, was hungry and impatient.

"I'm sorry" she said, to Cien and Brynna "But I'll have to take Whisper to the stables- I think he needs a rest and good meal as much as we do! I'll only be a little while, but order without me" she apologised to the waiter as she stood up from the table and sliding past him, hurried out of the door.

The pub was warm and cosy, but she was glad for the cooler air outside. She hurridley untied Whisper and led him away from the pub, she hoped she could find him a clean stable for the night...

[Kai]

Kai heard one of the other girls
"Well this is my first day, and I've only been working for a couple of hours but this place is packed. But the pay is good so I don't mind that much." He thought to himself as he said those last few words Yeah right and when i see a pig fly without wings then I won't care anymore. "Umm do you have an order?"

[Lady Brynna Halider]

"I'll have a glass of rosewater, and a lamb casserole please." She glanced sideways at Cien, unsure of what to say. After a slight pause, she added, "And please get my friend whatever she wants too. You're doing a very good job so far!"

As she saw Rose leave, she sadly said goodbye to her temporary companion and thanked her again for the rider on Whisper. She hoped nothing bad had happened to her own horse... giving a heavy sigh, she thought to herself, I suppose I'll have to send people to look for my silly horse in the morning. I only wish there was somthing I could do myslef... I feel so helpless not doing anything!

[Kai]

Kai noted down what the the girl with purple hair wanted then turned to the other to see what she wanted. He noticed that one of them had left but only tempoairily. It suddenly came to him that so far Rogan had not turned up to beg for food. He had no idea what was keeping him but it didn't really matter as long as Rogan wasn't here he wasn't being made a fool of. As much as he liked Rogan he sometimes felt that Rogans personality affected what other people thought of him. But then he smiled Rogan was his only friend and in the end he didn't care how he acted, he was glad for his comapny and scolded himself privately at his unkind thoughts. He suddenly came back into reality and the noise of the tavern.

[Rogan]

Rogan strolled gaily into the tavern, winking at two curvatious young women by the door, and then bellowing out, "Kai! My old friend! WHAT a surprise to see you here!"

Going over to take a seat at the tableof the two girls his friend was serving, he greeted them with a, "Hello there ladies!" Nodding and grinning wolfishly at the pair, he returned his attention to Kai, and said, "Now, what about that meal you promised me?" As if to back up his point, his stomach gave a loud rumble, and he looked sorrowfully up at him. "Would you begrudge your best friend a simple meal? Now step to it man! Can't you see there are people waiting for orders?!"

Sighing impetuosly, he waved his hand in a, 'go on then' sort of gesture.

[Kai]

Kai turned to Rogan and said calmly
"When you give me the money then sure I will get you your meal, otherwise I'm afraid you'll have to starve."
It seemed to him only a few seconds ago life was nice and simple, but now Rogan was here you might call it loud. Whenever Rogan was around life never failed to be intresting.

[Rose]

Rose pushed open the door glad for the warmth that rushed to greet her. She'd taken a wrong turning somewhere along the way and had asked several people to point her in the direction of tavern.

"Sorry took so long," she began, as she approached the table she had left earlier,
"I got a bit..." she stopped mid-sentence as she caught sight of the man that was sitting in her seat, but didn't say anything, after all she had left the tavern so he wasn't to know. Instead she moved round to the other side of the table, and unfastening her coat draped it on the back of the chair. As she pulled up a seat, she glanced at the man opposite her. She wondered if he was a friend of Lady Brynna or Cien. She had arrived just in time to hear Kai's last few words.
"I'll have whatever the special is" she said, hurridley, not wanting to take up any more of his time looking through the menu.

[Rogan]

"But Kai!" Rogan protested. "You promised me lunch!" Noticing the gorgeous young lady hovering beside him, he turned around and gave her a wide, *dashing* smile. "My fair Lady!" he said, "Won't you join us at this table? There is always room for one as enchanting, graceful, beautiful, and generally as ravishing as you are. Could I just tell you..." Rogan added in a softer voice, leaping up to clasp her hands and look her straight in the eyes, "That in all my time on this earth, I have never seen an angel such as you." He stood perfectly still, his eyes wide and his eyebrows raised to give a greater effect.

[Rose]

Rose stood rooted to the spot, watching Rogan stare up at her. She shot a sidelong glance towards Lady Brynna and Cien who both wore expressions something between amusement and shock. Unsure whether the man was sane, she prised his hands away from hers and took one step backwards before saying calmly

"Thank you, I'm very flattered..." she smiled and at the same time moved her hands behind her back and slid her ring off of her right index finger.
"...But I'm afraid I'm already spoken for!" she finished, indicating the ring on her left finger [which was slightly red where she had forced it so quickly over her knuckle]

[Lady Brynna Halider]

Lady BRynna could not help but giggle as the impetuous young man so boldly approached Rose. She then started as Rose slipped a ring off her finger. She did not know why she was so surprised... she supposed she'd just assumed that she was single, like herself. Shooting a sidelong look at Cien, she wondered what her other friend was making of all this. Events certainly happened quickly in Calamere!

"So what can you tell me about this Rogan?" She whispered to Cien.

[cien]

Cien coughed. "He's a per-... person with interesting, ah, pursuits." She held the eyeglass away from her eye for a moment. In Rogan's case, a bit was too much. Rose had been suprisingly quick, thought Cien, laughing silently.

It seemed that Puru-puru had taken a slight interest in the conversation. It hovered excitedly nearby, finally attempting to bounce onto Kai's shoulder. Cien leapt up and caught it.

"Behave, please."

[Rose]

With Puru-puru's activities causing a diversion, Rose took the oppurtunity to quickly take a seat around the other side of the table. She smiled at Cien on the way round, she had definately seen her swap the rings, as had Kai, who had been standing directly behind her. Lady Brynna was seated further around the table, so Rose was unsure whether or not she had seen, but she could always tell her later.

The smell of the food around her made her stomach rumble, she hoped their food would arrive soon...

[Kai]

Kai stifled a laughter at Rogan's forwardness. Rose had thought quickly and had cleverly swaped rings. He smiled and said to he group
"I'll be back in a minute with your orders." He went to the kitchen and told the chef who remarkably quickloy got them ready. As Kai turned to leave Rosie approached him and told him that his shift was over, and handed him his pay. He walked over to the table now out of uniform. He gave Brynna her glass of rose water and lamb casserole. He then gave Rose the special. He bought up a chair and sat down. He turned to look at Rogan
"Too bad mate, turned down again..."

[Lady Brynna Halider]

Brynna sat blushing in her chair as their table quickly became the rowdiest in the tavern. Well, according to Cien, any table with the man Rogan sat at it was sure to be interesting at any rate!
"Wow," She said quietly to Cien, "There are a lotof people here now! Puru-puru seems very excited." She then turned to smile at Rose, who, she suddenly noticed, had slipped ehr ring off her wedding finger. Clever. "Nice... ring" She said to her.

[Rose]

'Thanks' said Rose with a smile, as she took the steaming plate from Kai. She picked up a her knife and fork and after pushing the meat to the far side of the plate, began to eat slowly, trying to appear less ravenous than she actually was so she didn't show herself up. She watched Kai pull up a chair and speak to Rogan.

"Again?" she repeated, "So he does this often...?" she asked Kai, raising an eyebrow and taking a sip of water.
