Karei listened to his descriptions, obviously fascinated by the stories behind his tattoos. She glanced up and was surprised to see tears in his eyes. Then she remembered that he was the last Colossus.
''I'm sorry about your people.''
She said sympathetically. |

He quickly wiped his eye,
"I thank you. So which one do you like the most? And do you have any markings of your own?"
He said as he leaned on his elbow his 6'7 frame stretching out in the cool grass.

Karei replied thoughtfully, a soft smile spreading upon her lips.
''No markings. Just a few scars.''
She answered, glancing at the more recent wounds she had received from the previous battle, able to tell already which ones would scar andwhich ones wouldn't. |

Cody became self conscicous as he touched his face quickly. He then grinned, "Do you have a favorite scar? I know sounds like a funny question."

Karei shook her head, smiling slightly.
''No...I never really thought about it.''
She admitted. She glanced up, watching as Arai came over. The stallion gave her an afectionate nudge, then moved to graze nearby. |

Cody looked into her eyes. He wanted to show her what he could see and he had heard that Colossus had the ability to pass off their ability to see the spirits. It made the world so much more alive. "Karie, take my hands. I wanna show you something" Cody reached out his large rough hands giving off a light blue light. His baby blue eyes looking intently into her sea-blue eyes.

Karei blinked curiously, then reached out and gently grasped his hands with her own scarred and calloused hands. Her head was tilted to one side as she looked up at him, curiousity taking over her expression. |

"Karei, I want you to clear your mind of all things past and present, and concentrate. Look deep into my eyes, you will feel it when its time. I wanna show you what I see when I look around at the world and why I cherish it. It might just open a whole new world for." He gazed deeply into her eyes as he began to commune with spirits he could slowly feel the energy of the spirits move around him in a frenzy. The spirits looked like little bright lights, like fireflys buzzing around them and the river and forest. He could feel them frenzy around their hands. It had been a long time since a female had touched his hands or him for that matter and put him off but he had to concentrate.

Karei nodded and did as he instructed her to. Her mind was cleared and soon enough she was able to see the spirits. Her eyes widened in wonderment and awe at teh sight of them and a smile flashed across her features. |

Cody watched as her eyes widened the spirits immediatly frenzied around her, he stumbled back releasing her hands as they buzzed around in such a fury it caught him off guard. He stumbled back trippping over a rock and falling into the water.

Karei looked up, seeing Cody fall back into the water. she stood up, rushing over to see if he was alright.
''Cody, are you ok?''
She asked, leaning over and extending a hand to help him out of the river. |

Cody emerged pulling himself out of the water. His eyes were wide as he looked at her. "The.. the spirits did you see them?" Water pouring down his head, and chest as he stood up the water reaching his knees.

"Unreal..." Cody grinned a big smile across his face as he took her hand pulling her quickly into the water with a laugh. He roared laughing very loudly.

Karei gasped in surprise as she tumbled into the water. She resurfaced and looked at him with a smirk.
''That wasn't fair!''
She said, dragging her arm across the surface and splashing him. |

Cody laughed as he quickly jumped in splashing her back. It had been along time since he had connected with anyone and it felt good to just have fun.He stopped splashing her and quickly let his eyes dodge around. He brought up a finger to his lips motioning for silence.
"Did you hear that?"

Karei silenced, listening carefully. She glanced over at Arai and saw he was doing the same. She was unable to hear anything at the moment. She listened carefully for a few more seconds, though heard nothing.
''what is it?''
She asked under her breath, her voice barely audible. |

Cody let his eyes look intense for just a minute. He then began to whisper very softly, "Its the sound of...you being splashed!" He then swept his big arm across the water with a big laugh dosing her with a big wave of water. His laughter echoed off the walls of rock that surronded the river.

She was cut off by Arai suddenly bolting into the river nearby, splashing them both. Kar laugehd.
''Oh, so you were in on it too?''
She teased, watching as arai reared up and splashed in the water. |

Cody laughs as the great beast jumps into the water splashing him. He turns neighing as he splashes the Arai. Suddenly a arrow just whizzes by Cody's head and hits the rock wall. Cody's eyes dart in the direction it came and none other then Damion Armond was standing on a rock holding a bow and restringing an arrow.
"I didn't think you would survive, Cody. You lucky your girlfriend got to you when she did! Only now I will kill you both." Damion grinned underneath his dark hood his razor like teeth showing as he let his forked tongue touch the air. His tail wrapped around the rock as he let forth for another arrow.
