Karei was out of the water before the second arrow was let loose. She unsheathed her swords and mounted Arai as he cantered up. The stallion bolted, moving quickly, and as she drew near to the man she took her swords toward his neck and torso. |

Cody roared as he watched the serpant man dodge her nearly undodgable attack. His dark magic was at work here. He roared as he burst out the water and grab his great hammer. He then summoned the spirits of sky and leapt into the air meeting his opponent, They met Damion's curved sword clashing with his great hammer they quickly began to plummet back towards the earth. "Karei! NOW!"

Karei turned Arai around, very sharply, and he lunged forward. She turned to attack again, careful not to strike Cody as bother Hai and Hei went for the man's torso. |

Damion cried out in pain as he was split into two. His torso sperating from his chest as he and Cody continued to plummet to the running river beneath. They hit the water only Damion came to the surface growing new legs and his tail back as Cody came to the surface. Damion's tale wrapped quickly around Cody's neck and he knocked Cody's hammer to the rocky crevices surronding the running river. Both creatures began to beat it out with their fist, tossing and turning in the river. A waterfall lay not a hundred more yards away. Cody churned to the surface rage running through his veins as he sent his fist pouding into Damion's face. He roared out "Karie let me finish this. This is personal. Demon prepare for the afterlife!" They both began to drift further down river as they threw rights and lefts blasting each and trying to drown each other.

Karei cantered Arai along side the river, watching the two with some concern on her face. She glanced ahead and saw the waterfall, then turned back to Cody.
''Cody! Hurry it up, you're drawing close to the waterfall!''
She called out. Kar watched as the two continued to battle through the river, drawing closer to the falls. Cursing she urged Arai into a gallop, keeping up with the rivers pace. Leaning up she undid his reigns from his bridle, her calves gripping his barrel hard to keep him focused, and held the ropes in her hands lightly. |

Cody bashed Damion skull with his fist hard. He looked into the world around him almost like it was slowling down. He could hear the waterfall about twenty feet away, the rushing water was undeniable. He let eyes baby blue eyes stare out into Karei eyes as they locked. He smiled, just as he took another punch to the face. Damion slipped a dagger out of his belt and rammed it into Cody's ribs. Cody roared in agony as he immediatly head butted Damion in the face knocking out several of his razor sharp teeth. Blood flowed down both their faces.
"Today you die, Colossus." growled Damion.
"No, today is the day the last Colossus ascends." Cody spit blood out into the running water. He looked around as the spirits began to gather and burst into what looked ligthening, they buzzed and gathered around Cody and Damion as they engaged in a life and death struggle. The spirits burst around them like fireworks on New Years. It was truely a unique sight. Cody let his eyes break from the watching and gazed into Karei's eyes one last time. He could sense her concern. Her feelings were very strong and ones of emotion. Cody let a tear drop into the water as a spirit carried a message for him to Karei.

Mis reached the edge before either of them did, Arai skidding to a stop quickly. She turned, eyes staring out to where Cody and Damion where. Her concern and worry grew as they drew closer, neither seeming to get the better hand for some time. Then she noticed something happening and moved Arai a bit closer to the river. She searched for an explaination quickly, but found none. Then she noticed a spirit come up and blinekd at it curiously. |

Cody roared as he grabbed Damion, Damion eyes became wide.
"The end is near Damion, embrace the afterlife."
Cody looked quickly one last time at Karei as he rocketed off the edge towards the rocks below. Damion screamed a terrible scream as Cody drove held on to him as they fell under the thundering roar of the waterfall the rocks coming closer and closer. Cody could feel something happening to himself as he could feel the spirits rage around him in such a fury had never seen. He held on as he plundged towards the rocks. Damion hit first his head cracking clean open and his body splitting all over the rocks. Cody hit next his side being gashed open and chest being crushed by the rocks. He rolled off the rocks and into the water. He could feel his life waning. He slowly drifted over to the bank and he closed his eyes. Today Cody Evans, Last Son of the Colossus, joined his ancestors in the Afterlife. Today Cody Evans Died.

''Cody!''
Karei dismounted from her steed, quickly moving down the side of the cliff and landing on the ground harshly. She ran to the side of the bank quickly, skidding to a stop and crouching next to him. She bit her bottom lip, leaning over him as she moved a hand over his mouth to see if he was breathing, and found he wasn't. Behind her, she heard Arai scampering down a worn trail, leaping lightly to the ground and trotting up behind Kar. He snorted, looking down at Cody, then nudged Karei's back gently. |

The spirit persisted as it followed her down to Cody's side. Suddenty what looked like a billion spirits suddenly ran straight out his chest and into the sky. They spread all over the world and into the darkening sky. A bright comet quickly shot over the scene. Cody lay still in Karei's arms, the behometh was gone.
The lone spirit stayed as it gently prodded Karei's mind revealing Cody's last wish or words.
"Be brave Karei, I am sorry. I have accepted my Destiny. I have embraced my death. I have come to love you. I am sorry I have left you so soon. Watch over Dahrin for me. He needs guidence. I will watch over you. Remember the stars? The one right below the moon, that is me. I will conitinue to watch over you. Goodbye for now my love. I will always be your side." The spirit then began to weep in the only way a spirit could it buzzed around Karei as it then flew quickly into the air and burst into a thousand smaller spirits as they flew all around her.

Karei froze, listening to the words. She swallowed slowly, leaning back against Arai's legs as she felt utter shock take ahold of her mind. Tears stung against her eyes, but she slid her lids closed, refusing to shed them. Arai gently nudged her shoulder, snapping her out of it. Kar swallowed again, gently pulling Cody's body out of the river.
''C-c'mon, Arai. Let's give him a proper buriel, hm?''
She said with a slight stutter.
Cody had been buried and Karei spent the night by the river with Arai. In the morning she mounted the steed and left in the morning to continue her travels, hoping that she could find Darhin. |

Could this be the end of Cody Evans? The Last of the Colossus? Time will tell. As we speak, a star is falling from the sky and is headed towards the ocean. Could these two events be linked?
