End of the Beginning

[orion]

A huge star fell, the spirits roared around the star as it burst through the atompshephere as a huge ionic storm shadowed the entire Golden Land. The lightening bolts struck the golden lands over and over again tearing at the foundations of the earth. Something was happening. The star ripped through the clouds as the lightening tore at it and ripped around it. The spirits raged all over the star as it tore off the top of a huge mountain as it continued to plow unstopped by the huge mass of rocks.

Orion had arrived and now he started his ascension up the moutain he had blasted through, he had lost something vital to his journey. Orion's massive muscled body wasn't hidden underneath the robes that Dahrin had given him. He was wearing a set of briches but he let his massive body breathe in the cold air. It just felt more natural. Orion grinned as he picked up a melted rock at the bottom of the mountain. He would soon reach the destination. He felt yet another presence on the mountain though.

[Ava]

Ava rode her horse towards the mountain she had watched earlier as it lost its top. The girl was wrapped in a long black velvet robe with the hood hiding her golden wavey hair. Her dark blue eyes narrowed at the top but then made its way down as Faye got closer to it. She walked out of bushes and stopped as she spotted another standing at the bottom. Faye backed up with a loud screach, the sudden jult up from her horse caused her back to ache and make her wish she hadn't had a father. But despite her pain she managed to say some calming words to her "Faye! Calm down!" she got the horse back on the ground and patted his neck gently "Sh." Her dark blue eys turned to the man and watched him "Do you know what exactly happened?"she asked in a confident voice. Trying not to look so much like an elemental.

Orion turned his cold blue eyes locking onto the indivudual. He didn't smile but he nodded. She was beautiful in a earthly standard. He wasn't here for romance. This was a mission. He noticed her large steed and his eyes locked with it as he spoke to the horse. It told him much about the rider in seconds.
"Indeed young one. When I fell from the heavens on my return to the world, I crashed through this mountain." Orion keep his eyes locked with hers. It was almost inhuman how he never blinked.
"I didn't mean to, but I did. I also lost somethin on my fall. I lost my armour. Do you want to accompany me? I could use the company?" Orion smiled best as he could.

[Ava]

Ava broke the stare by looking down at the ground. He wanted her to accompany him? She looked back up into his eyes, hers changing to a bright sparkling blue. Something told her to go, that it was ok. So she nodded and kicked the side of her mare making her walk forward. "If you want, you can get on the back of Faye. I think she wont mind."

The daple grey mare rolled her eyes and stared at the man with hatred. The horse wasn't sure of him, she had heard about humans killing, threatening, disliking elementals from a boy named Dahrin.

Ava shifted up giving him some room behind her "So angel boy got a name, or have a clue to where your armor is?" She asked with a half smile trying to hide anything her eyes might show. Pain and fear being the two major things she didn't want him to see.

[orion]

Orion smiled as turned and began to walk up the mountain path. He chuckled a deep laugh as she called him a angel.
"I am no such thing." He gently ran his hands over his white hair.
"I am a Colossus. The first of my kind created by the gods eons ago. My children, the Colossus are all dead. The gods made a pact with me, if my children failed as the guardians of this world, that I would return and bring them back and would be allowed to set them straight. To furfill their gifts." Orion's eyes kept on the path ahead of him it was getting rocky.
"So tell me about yourself. And your gift..." Orion could easily sense her abilities.

[Ava]

Ava grinned and kicked Faye gently to make her walk up next to him. She looked down and shook her head "You have to be an angel, you were made from the gods. You are a Colossus...which I am not sure what exactly that is." she giggled slightly "You also fell from the heavens as you said so yourself." His voice carassed her ears once again as she heard him ask about her. What was there to tell? She sighed "Well I guess you are kind of new around here. And you seem well....nice." She remebered the boy telling her to not be open about this. But Ava wasn't the type to hide her powers, why would she? She should be proud of them shouldn't she? "I am a-" she stopped looking away once again. She also didn't have full control of her powers. What if he did turn out to not be so good? She stayed quiet again.

[orion]

"Your gift is a blessing young one." Orion stopped walking and smiled his eyes locking with hers. "People may not understand but its differences that bring us all together as a world. It is what so many people have forgotten."
Orion turned and began to walk back up the trail.
"I am sorry i have yet to give you my name...it is Orion. Do not be afraid of me please, I may be massive monster looking of creature, but I truely mean no harm." Orion said softly.

[Ava]

Ava found herself staring into his eyes until he started walking again. She shook her head, something told her that he knew everything about her. Or at least sence her powers. "To me you are just big. Like tall and muscular. Not a monster at all." Ava glanced up and grinned "Have you ever thought maybe your powers were a curse more then a gift? Or that things you can't help but they happen and you were blamed for it. And you knew it wasn't your fault but you found yourself wondering if it was or maybe it is." She looked down at him and shook her head "I am sure I am making no sence to you."

[orion]

"No. My powers were given to me. I know my childern have had a certain difficulty in their lifetime with their gifts and their tribal appearences. My stay in this earth has never been long enough to care. But your gifts were given to you for a reason. Don't ever look at things as accidents they happen for a reason. Whether you seem them now or ever. They are there to open new doors. And your gifts which they are, are their for a reason. Your role in life is what you detrimine it. Just make sure that you lead yourself in the right path as no one can do it for you." Orion smiled as he let his eyes rest on the upcoming mountain top. It was a smoking crater of fire and ash. A brillant blue glow illuminated a small deep hole in the center.
"So your name milady?"

[Ava]

Ava sighed and listened to him. She smiled slightly liking his words that helped her realize her mothers death wasn't her fault. Her father just had a way of pinning it on someone. She looked down at him and then forward "I wish someone could. It wopuld be easier." She muttered in a small voice. She then heard his voice ask for her name and she nodded "I guess it is only fair that I tell you my name since you told me yours. Names Ava."

Orion stopped just right before entering the crater. He turned and locked his eyes with hers and bowed politly, as was expected of men. He smiled as he stopped and looked out over the crater. Smoke rose from it.
"Ava is a lovely name for a lovely creature such as yourself." He grinned his cold blue eyes turning back towards her. "It fits you, Ava."
Orion turned and stepped in the hot crater. After days it still hadn't cooled. The intense heat didn't bother him at all. His feet rested on the hot rocks as he started to walk towards the center of the crater towards the glowing sphere of blue light.

[Ava]

Ava smiled and watched him enter the crater. She stayed there ontop of Faye for awhile wondering if she should join him. She felt the heat press against her skin from where she was standing. The girl lowered her hood to her shoulders to reviel her face more then before. "Orion, I don't think I or Faye would be able to stand on such heat. I will wait here for you." Little bits of her hair started to curl from the humidity at the top of the crater.

Orion smiled as he let his body emit a large energy field contianing the heat so that it would no longer bother Ava. He walked towards the center the heat building up to ridicoulos levels. Sweat poured down his face as he reached into the glowing blue sphere and lifted on his silver armour, the armour was brillant silver, massive and huge he lifted it and place it on his body. It cooled his body down sent a new energy running through his body. As soon as he put the armour on the crater cooled in such a fast manner that the heat blasted out like a tidal wave. Orion smiled as he walked across the cooled crater and towards Ava his exuisiquite god like armour shining in the sun.
"Thank you Ava for accompiny me. I greatly apperciat it. So tell me all about yourself. Do you have family?" Orion asked his unblinking eyes locked onto hers.

[Ava]

Her eyes rested on his armor and shook her head "You are just full of surprises..." she muttered and lifted her hood back over her head. she shrugged "I had family. My mother died when I was little and well....my father. He just went through a hard time when she pasted." Ava was keeping to herself this time. She didn't want anyone to feel bad for her, that she had an abusive father. She smiled "Tell me about your children you spoke of before. Who are they?" She was running. Running from the topic of her father and what he had done. He might see the scars at some point and know or ask but most likly he wouldn't see them unless she showed him. She felt his eyes looking into hers and she turned her head away from the armor to his eyes. His showing innocence and hers showing hidden pain.

[orion]

Orion smiled as he walked alongside of her. It felt good to just talk, to get away from it all.
"My children are the race of Colossus. I am in fact over a million years old, my children age to about ten thousand. They are large and strong like I am, and almost all have white hair. They long ago interbreed with a race of beserkers which gives them a furious rage at times, and has since weakened their powers. They are all dead though. The last one to die was named Cody Evans and is very special to me. I must bring them home again."

[Ava]

"So you are here to get your children back...but they passed away so how are you going to manage that?" Ava asked and shook her head "Sorry if i am being to nosey. Just curious, i never really met a....Colossus. Or heard of them for that matter." her voice was in a small bit of laughter as her cheeks got some what rosey. She had heard the name Cody before, from Darhin, he had mentioned he pasted away not too long ago. "Sorry for your losses..." She whispered kindly.

[orion]

Orion grinned she said she wasn't being nosy, liar. It didn't matter though maybe she would help him. He could use all the help that he could get.
"When I was created the gods told me that in order for me to get my children back i would have to return to my birthplace. Well as of right now Thern and Rael have built a massive war fortress on top of it. The wizards study the ruins, as they create weapons in the halls of the fortress of which to slay people." Orion's eyes grew dark."I must return there...I must. I thank you for your grievance but my children have only reached the next plan, they will return to this world and lay waste to Thren and Rael. Then they will return to their purity and guardianship of the world. But I have talked enough tell me about your gifts?"

[Ava]

Ava listened intently "You know where this birthplace is? Or how far it is at least?" She was pondering that maybe she could tag along, help here and there. Her ears picked up him asking her the same question she was advoiding before. She let out a soft sigh and nodded "Well you have told me so much about yourself I guess it is only fair." She filted with the reins and looked down at him "I am a Fire Elemental."

Orion smiled as they reached the bottom of the mountain. He let his hands glow with brillant blue and yellow sparks. He then pointed his hands at a rock literally blasting it to pieces from the inside out.
"We have a similiar gift, expect mine is the form of pure energy. And the ruins are under a fortress that Thern and Rael built. It would be nearly suicide to march in there with an army, so I am trying to get many a brave warriors and adventure's to go with me."
