End of the Beginning

Faye raised on her hinds as the rock made a loud bang and it scattered in pieces. Ava ran her small hand up and down Fayes neck soothingly "Sh...its alright...no one is going to hurt you." Her soft voice rang in the horse's ears and she layed her foredaggers on the ground. Ava turned her head to Orion "Yours is energy and can blow things up. Mine is not. It is just fire." She then looked forward but glanced at him out of the corner of her eyes. "I will be glad to help you if that is what you are asking."

Orion smiled as he looked at the young girl and smiled.
"I would like that very much, Ava. I will be happy to help you in anyway that i can before I depart for the Fortress." Orion grinned as he picked up the pieces of melted rock and held them in his hand.
