Evvy's father was running low on several vital herbs that could only be found deep within the forest. She would have wished her brother to come along with her for protection but he was still way on 'buisness' and could not assist her in the woods. Though it was dangerous she had to go to keep their shop open so they could keep their shop open. It had taken her all day to ride to the edge of the woods on their very old horse Gilda. The sun was beginning to set so she lit a small fire. She decided it was best to camp out near the forest edge rather than wander in its midst in the dark of night.

Cien rocked back on her heels tiredly. Putting Puru-puru on the ground, she waited as it sniffed carefully. "Anything?" It glanced at her dismally. Cien sighed and leaned against a tree. Having recently received news of the ever approaching war, she had been contacted by an old friend who requested her aid.
Not that there was much she could do, unless she packed up straight away and left for the war, which was something she would NOT do.
Puru-puru whimpered and Cien picked it up and stroked it apologetically. "Hold on a bit longer. I only need one. Please try to find it."
Suddenly, Puru-puru bounced up excitedly. Cien too noticed a presence nearby. 'Who is it, in this forsaken place?' she wondered, as she pushed her way out of the bushes.

Father Luca took a walk through the forest in this new town, he always loved to be in the forest. He began to look for some herbs to add to his supply of healing herbs. ((see bio for info, is it ok if I RP here with you two?))

(fantasy reader hasn't been on in a while, but I don't mind ) Bursting out of the dense foilage, she spotted someone who looked rather out of place in the forest. He seemed to be looking for healing herbs, and at that moment she spotted what she was looking for just slightly to the left of him. As she was about to excuse herself, Puru-puru, excited by it's find, leapt out of her hand and at the plant.

((thanks )) Father Luca bent down to examine some herbs near him when he noticed a small round creature heading for another plant near by. He chuckled slightly as the creature was quite cute, he watched it for a bit.

Cien groaned and headed after the adventurous Puru-puru. Bending down, she took out a small knife and proceeded to carefully cut the plant, making sure not to tear at it. Straightening up again with Puru-puru in one hand and the plant in the other, she smiled at the other person.
"Hello. I'm sorry I can't extend a hand to you, but it is still pleasant to meet someone in such an out-of-the-way place,"

The Priest smiled, "Niced to meet you as well," began Father Luca, "My name is Father Luca Chiaro." he continued, "And who is this interesting little creature?"

Cien held out Puru-puru and it jumped eagerly on Father Luca's shoulder. "This is Puru-puru...don't mind it, sometimes it is a bit mischevious..."
'a BIT...'
Glancing down at the plant in her other hand, she carefully cut the leaves off the stalk and sliced the stalk in half through the middle. The leaves she placed in one of her pockets. Then, she pulled out a vial and squeezed the stalk. A purplish fluid dripped out, filling only one-tenth of the already exceedingly small vial. Sighing, Cien turned back to the priest.
"I'm sorry, you have to excuse my rudeness, but unless I settle this quickly all the fluid in the stalk will dry up and it won't be of much use. What are you doing here, by the way?"

"I assume the same thing as you," he began as he gently stroked Puru-puru who he had put in his hand, "I am looking for some herbs to add to my supply," referring to his training in China, "I am running out and was looking to see if there were any here of some use, I'm new in this town, so I'm not quite familiar." he finished with a small chuckle.

Cien nodded. "I see. Truth be told, there are many useful herbs here, which go mostly unrecognised." She held out the vial. "Like this one. It is actually used as a pain killer and to avoid infection, but unfortunately," she sighed again before continuing, "it seems that the herb that Puru-puru found was an old one, and it was too dry to be of much use except for the leaves."

He smiled, "No, I think your little friend was trying to help you," he began, "When the leaves of this herb go dry, if you tear them to pieces and make them into a paste, they are stronger than taken as a liquid." he told her politely hoping he could help. He learned a lot about herbal medicine in China that and his martial arts.

Cien grinned. He had caught her off guard there. "Thank you. I'll try and remember that. You seem very well versed in herbal medicine. Perhaps you can help me out? Are there any other healing herbs that would be useful in a dire situation? You see, I have an old acquaintance who requested a favour of me. He asked for something a bit out of my reach, I'm afraid, so this is the best I can do to help at the moment."

"I will try my best to be of service," said the Priest, "What exactly ails your acquaintance."

Cien smiled. What ailed him? Probably the fact that she was reluctant to participate in any part of the war. She coughed. "Actually, he requires many herbs for the healing of wounds and also as painkillers. Herbs that would speed up the process of healing are also in high demand."

Father Luca nodded his head, "I have some with me, from China, they could be of some use and are quite strong, only to use a piece of the leaf every time applied." he suggested

"That would really help," sadi Cien thankfully. "Maybe we could help each other out. I could help you with your collecting as well, but before that, perhaps you could tell me more about yourself. I couldn't help but feel that you have...an interesting history..."

He smiled at the comment and raised his hand to push some of his long hair that was hanging from down from under his hat out of his face, as he raised his hand his sleeve fell slightly and partially revealed one of his symbols. "Yes, that would be great if we could help eachother." he told her, "As for my history I'm not sure if it is as interesting as you may think," he told her, "I grew up in Italy and when I finished school I decided to become a Priest," he said, "I entered the seminary and I was almost finished when I decided to take a leave of ansence and travel a bit to explore myself and the world around me, I headed east to China." he concluded, "Where I grew as a spiritual person and learned quite a lot there, one of which is herbal medicine." he said with a smile, "I returned to the seminary when I left China and completed my studies and about a month or so after I finished I was ordained. I made a decision to not settle in one church but travel the world as a spiritual guide to whoever crosses my path, and help in any other way I can." he said humbly, "Presently my travels have brought me here."

Cien raised her head slightly as he concluded. 'That explains it,' she thought, 'his aura is more spread than a normal person's...maybe it could be called balanced?'
"I see. Well, perhaps we could start from here and search in that direction." She pointed due east. "By the way," she asked casually, "Have you heard any news of the war?"

A saddened look came over his face, he hated war. "No, I'm sorry I haven't, I wasn't aware of a war."
