Darhin was walking though the vast fields, the lush green grass blowing in the wind. He thought over todays events, a lot had happened. He was pretty sure that he has to return to the Inn soon if he didn't want to be fired. But for now he was content with staying outside.
Sighing he sat down on the ground, wondering what he was doing out here. Was he really just wandering, trying to clear his mind. Or was it something else. But before he could think of it any longer he heard footsteps approaching. Turning around he saw the same man, the one who had rescued him from the back alleys. The war hammer still clutched in his hands. He stood up to greet him. "Thank you, your help back in the city was very welcomed, I ask if its alright if you told me your name?"

Cody was in the middle of communing with nature whent the young lad who he had helped in the alleys began to speak to him. His eyes intestanlty locking with the young mans. He brushed some of his white hair out his face. He looked at the young man cursiouly. Cody then smiled. "My name? My name is Cody Evans, Last Son of the Colossus. And you lad? What praytell is your name? And what are you doing out here?"

"My name is Darhin" he replied, he looked at the man, with his oddly white hair, Last Son of the Collosus did he say? Well Darhin knew of the Collosus, he use to be a citizen of Thern after all. Yet he felt no animosity against Cody, for they had rejected him too. Actually he felt very grateful for his help.
"As for why I'm out here, I was just in the city when quite a few things happen in too short of a time. I'm still trying to get over the fact that my life has changed dramatically." He liked this Cody, however they had just met and he did not feel inclined to reveal his secret to another person. His life had changed enough as it was. So far Cody did not know he was a Elemental.
But something told him he would care more about the fact he was Thernian.

Cody grinned, this young skinny lad was quite amusing. "So tell me young, Darhin, where are you from? You seems to recognize the name Collossus, do you not?" Cody was cursious as all others in the Golden Land except the very well informed knew not of his small tribe that had made what could only called a bloody massacre of both Thern and Rael's armies before they were finally overwhemled.

"Uh..." Darhin wasn't sure what he could say to that. He saw that he recognized the name of Collosus? Was his mind shield down? No, that wasn't it. His face must be showing his emotions too much. He quickly made his face impassive. Not letting any emotions sink in. "I live here in Calamere, have been for a long time. I'm a stable boy at the Silver Drake Inn." He hoped that would settle the man's questions. But he had a feeling it wouldn't.

Cody grinned as he looked into the sky the sun was bright as its heat pounded on his face, a strong breeze blew his hair around. "It isn't easy being different. Is that why the ones in alley were attacking you? Because you are different then them?"

Darhin sighed, "To be honest, I think the reason they attacked me was just because there simple thugs, wanting money. However there might be something about me that made them be drawn to me. That seems to be happening a lot lately."

"I can tell you have a gift." Cody smiled hoping that the young man would feel safe in his presence. "And you aren't from Calamere are you?"

Darhin's back stiffened, a gift? He heard of some sorcerors that were powerful enough to detect magical aroras around people. Cody must be more powerful then he first thought. He was about to answer when he heard a noise up ahead. The distratcion wasn't a good one. Looking over he saw a hideous beast, one far larger then anything he had ever seen before. It was shaped like that of a giant dog, but was ashlike black. With odd symbols glowing off its fur. It had an fiery look in its eyes. And its claws were ripping up the dirt underneath it. Without any warning it lunged at them. (Thought to add a bit of flavor! )

Cody roared at the top of his lungs, within in seconds he had lunged forward his great-hammer in his hands. The beast growled as he lunged and met Cody in the air. Both the creature and Cody collided and with a thunderclap like noise Cody hit the ground as he landed on his feet. His great-hammer had literally bounced off the creature's hide. He would have to break its jaw. "Darhin, be careful. Get to Safety!" Cody roared again, he could feel his body charging its level of fury unreal. A burning sensation took place in his body. Then his eyes lit up changing from blue to red like an inferno. He would not let this beast hurt the young man.

Run? This man just saved his life. He wasn't about to run and let this creature take away his. He watched as Cody's eyes started to change and realized he was performing some sort of strange magic attack. He hoped that it took up a lot of concentration and he wouldn't notice Darhin's hands glowing.
He looked at the beast's four legs, and concentrated, slowly ice started to form, traveling up the beast's legs and keeping it firmly in place. Making it an easier target for Cody's hammer. He just wished he had a sword or club so he could fight along side him instead of standing on the sidelines.

Cien felt the wind tear around her, something about it sounded strange. Even Puru-puru felt the presence of danger nearby. It was bravely trembling on her shoulder, determined to follow her even to the eye of the treacherous situation. Yet, something felt familiar...
'Darhin and-!'
She ran up a slight incline and caught sight of something she had never expected to see...
'Who is-?!'

Cody could feel the violent rage as it rushed through his veins, He then threw his hammer to the ground near Darhin. He watched as slowly the creature got to its feet only something was holding its feet back. Cody roared loudly as he began to let his body summon the spirits of the wind, the creature was a good sixty feet from him. Then without warning Cody launched himself forward he tackled the creature wrestling it to the ground, its huge jaws clamping down on his nearly impervious armour. The creature then pulled off and went for his head. Only Cody caught it and grabbed its jaws holding them with his hands he began to push them apart. A loud sick crack took place in a matter of seconds. The huge creature fell to the ground. Cody lay still his body began to settle, as it calmed itself. "Darhin, are you okay?"

"Yeah," Darhin said, "I'm fine." He turned around and saw Cien standing thier on a hill, "Cien! What are you doing here?" He watched as she started down the incline. His eyes went back to the dead beast, and saw to his horror that the beast started to stand up once more. The symbols all over its body moving frantically, in a deep demonic red glow.
He suddenly remembered, the Undead.
His tutoring from Yarodin came back. A Undead were terrible beasts that were risen from their graves and then transformed into demons by the power of a necromancer, a sorcerer who turned evil. He knew the only way to destroy the beast was to find the one who summoned it...

Cody watched as the creature's dead corpse rose beside him, he shuddered the Undead. His eyes instantly ran out to the young man he felt it was necessary to protect. Then behind the young stood a girl with a little creature on her shoulder. Cody was not in a good mood, he could feel the rush again. He knew that at the end of this battle he would have to rest for awhile. He hated the Undead. He turned to beast and hit it with a slam from his body sending it rolling down the hill. It got to its feet its broken jaw hanging limply. "I hate the Undead. They never make it easy." Cody ran to Darhin and the girl. He picked up his great-hammer. He then turned back to make sure he had at least a few minutes before the creature had got its bearings.

Cien heard Darhin call, but her mind was focused on the beast.
'It has a MIND?!'
Puru-puru nibbled nervously on her ear. "It isn't it's own mind," Cien whispered softly, "it's the mind of it's master..."
But to play with the undead was something Cien knew none of them should do. 'How can this be solved?' she wondered, as she searched the 'mind' of the beast carefully. Undead summoning could only be done with a bond between the beast and its' master, she had learned.
But that was all she knew.
"I need more time!!" she called abstractedly.

Darhin heard her cry and turned to Cody, "She needs time to find the master of this beast, we have to hold it off until then. Can you do it?" He asked because he could see the man was tired. Whatever he just did took a lot out of him. Darhin would have to use more of his magic in order to fight. That meant he woudl have to reveal his secret to Cody.
He no longer cared, if it meant saving all thier lives.
Concentrating, he conjeered a large wave of water out of the ground that spured up and slapped the creature sending it hurdling across the field landing a bit of a distance away. He watched as Cody shakily picked up his axe, and knew that he saw him do the spell. He would have to explain later.
Right now they had a Undead to fight.

Cody grunted, "More time?" He roared as he jumped off the top of the hill to meet the creature his hammer struck it in the eye sending it rolling in the tall grass. His rage was building up, he could feel the fire burn in his veins. Roaring he struck again this time he could feel bone breaking underneath of his hammer. He jumped back a few feet still riding the wind had its benefits, gave him incredible speed and agility.

Cien continued searching. It had just become slightly harder, with the trauma of the beast clouding its other thoughts and its rage blinding it. She kept coming up with visions of its' attackers. Puru-puru nudged her periodically, as if trying to draw her further into the beast's mind.
Suddenly, Cien came to a point that felt blank. Her eyes widened slightly.
'The hypnosis point...' The point where the beast had initially been tied to its' master. Her hands trembled slightly. She would have to undo herself in order to break the bond. Would she be able to retain her self-seal after that?
"We can only try, Puru-puru," she whispered, and it nudged her again.
Closing her eyes, she let it happen. The flow of the power that most either feared or coveted, she released it. Undoing the strings that held both master and slave together-

Darhin watched as the creature's eyes suddenly became white. And its movement became stiff. It fell to the ground, acutally dead this time, and he watched as the body began to rot, and then dissappeared before his very eyes. He looked back at Cien, and shouted, "Great Job!" she had actually cut off the connection of the beast to its master. Now that the beast was gone, he suddenly wondered who sent it, and why. But at the same time he knew.
Thern or Rael.
