[Father Luca]

Father Luca walked through the plains, his hair and cassock blew in the wind as he walked through the tall grass that swayed back and forth in the wind. He sat underneath a tree and looked out and admired the beauty in nature, he reached in his bag and thought about what book to read, he decided to read a bit of the Bible, he was a Priest after all. He sat silently in contemplation as he read. After a while, he set the Bible down on top of his bag which he had layed beside him on the ground and crossed his legs and began to meditate on what he had just read. He lifted his thoughts and feelings upward toward God and let his mind, body, and soul open up. He sat still, his eyes closed with a peaceful look on his face as he felt the wind on his skin as he prayed.

Darhin walked thorugh the plains, he hadn't been here since the day he, Orion and Cein took on the undead. Now wihtout the terrible creature prolling the area the plains seemed peaceful, traquil even. He walked down a small hill and saw that priest, the one he had met earlier in the Castle, he was sitting down underneath a small tree, eyes closed, "Father? Is there something I could do for you?" he asked, slightly put off by how quiet and still he was, and then suddenly realized he was meditating, he stepped back, "Nevermind, I'm sorry to have disturbed you." he slowly backed away.

[Father Luca]

He slowly opened his eyes, "Do not worry about it," he said calmly, "How are you?"

"I'm fine, thank you," The priest was still sitting down, with a comforting look on his face, "Excuse me Father, but what is your name?" A cool breeze was now blowing across the field, and it ruffled Darhin's tunic.

[Father Luca]

"My name is Luca Chiaro," he said, "You are a friend of Cody's aren't you?" he asked, "I remember seeing you in the castle," he continued, "I have been in deep prayer and meditation alone for the past few days, how is Cody?"

A deep frown crossed Darhin's face, as he bit the bottom of his lip, "Well..." He wasn't sure how he could say this, "You see Father, Cody Evans is...dead." He whispered the last words, still coming to terms with them. It was a revelation he had just recently learned.

[Father Luca]

The Priest's eyes opened, "What?!" he said, "How did it happen?" he asked looking down, as a Priest he had seen many ending of lives but many beginnings as well it was part of his path, "Please Dahrin, tell me how it happened."

"He was struck down by the Circle. The leader, Damion I believe his name is, killed him but Cody killed him too before he died...or at least that's how I heard it happened...I was not there at the time, if you truely want to know, as Karei, she was there when he died..." His voice faltered a bit at the end, saddened by the lost of his friend.

[Father Luca]

The Priest nodded, "It is truly sad but let us not forget his life while we mourn his death."

Darhin nodded, "You right, still its hard not to miss him, he was a good friend to me. One of my only ones...Its getting pretty late, I was just about to head back to Calamere. Father, do you wish to come with me or would you like to stay here a little while longer?" He asked as he looked at the fading sunlight. He didn't want to stay out here too long.

[Father Luca]

"I will stay a bit longer, but please, if it is at all possible I would like to preside over Cody's funeral so please send word to me."

"I will father. I was planning on informing his majesty on the situation and ask for a formal funeral. However I hadn't had the opportunity to do so yet..."

[Father Luca]

He nodded and waved goodbye to Dahrin, "I will arrive at the palace tomorrow."

"I will see you then, it was a pleasure meeting you Father Luca. I hope to meet you again. Good bye." He said as he turned around to head back toward Calamere.
