Just a random thread because.. well, because I like making threads.
I figured it would be nice of we could all recommend animes and mangas to each other. At the moment, I'm reading 'Chrono Crusade' and I'm watching 'Bleach', 'He is my Master' and 'mai Otome'.
So what do you guys like?

Hmm.. I like 'Twelve Kingdoms', 'Last Exile' and Gundam Seed (and Gundam Seed Destiny). Hayao Miyazaki's works are also really nice too. CLAMP mangas and artbooks have good art and I recommend Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. For the samurai-type fans there's always Peacemaker Kurogane...

Hehe, I just bought the Love Hina complete anime set, and it's very very funny!
CLAMP stuff's always good, and so's Fruits Basket. I started reading, "AI love you", and that looked pretty good too. Hm... yeah. Can anyone recommend anything else that's light and funny?

As you can probably tell, I'm an Inuyasha fan. Guilty as charged.

You should indeed ^^ *le gasp* GAH! I'm so sorry! I haven't had time to colour those pages... infact, I haven't even finished the first one *clings to your ankles* Gomen nasai! I've just had so much homework/coursework lately ;^;
Hmm, manga-wise, I like Ken Akamatsu's stuff (Magi Sensei negima, Love Hina etc) .. and CLAMP stuff, Fruits basket too. The chrono crusade and fullmetal alchemist mangas are good too ^^ Anime-wise; I like InuYasha, FullMetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, He is my Master, Naruto, Bleach, CLAMP stuff (cardcaptors and angelic layer) Sukisyo, Azumanga Daioh and Nursewitch Komugi are good too.
Bryanna, Azumanga Daioh is extremely light-hearted :3 So's angelic layer, nursewitch komugi and 'he is my master'. :3 They're feel-good animes, the sort you can watch to cheer yourself up ^^ Oh and Cien, I haven't heard of twelve kingdoms, last exile or Peacemaker Kurogane before, I'll have to go look them up ^^

Never heard of it? *GASP Just kidding. They're all REALLY nice, another nice samurai show is Samurai 7, but I haven't finished watching it yet. (The Peacemaker Kurogane manga is nicer though, so you might want to look out for that instead...)

Ah! I've seen clips of Samurai 7 ;D It looks groovy... (gomen, stepped into the 70s there ^^; ) If you like Samurai 7 and Gundam Seed, you'd probably like Naruto, Bleach and Samurai Champloo. (although, the english dub for naruto is terrible - and the mangas for naruto and bleach are kinda hard to read - so the animes are better ^^)

I tried to find Peacemaker Kurogane in town (but there are only to shops which sell them) and I couldn't find it. Come to think of it I can never find any of the manga I want in shops it's just easier to order them over the net i think.

It is indeed Plus, it's alot cheaper (amazon.co.uk sells most mangas, some for as cheap as £2 each). Buying online saves money, but there's nothing like browsing in a manga shop

That is true....at my local shop where they sell it they keep it in plastic wallets so you can't actually look inside, never been able to figure that out

Good point. Yeah the internet can do a lot but sometimes its a little scary to think that people can track what you do on the net and all other kinds of stuff. Maybe I'm getting a little parinoid about it though. ^_^

True but I think we might be going a little off topic. I think manga is becoming more popular and lots of people I know want to learn how to draw it.

I agree, I like drawing girls best as they have more of a figure not that I don't enjoy drawing boys they're just a little harder to do.
