The Castle Court

[Karei]

Karei smirked as she began to eat.
''I'll find out one of these days.''
She replied in the same tone, taking a drink of the wine and continuing to eat. Soon enough she finished and decided that she shouldn't eat too much now. Looking up, she noticed that some of the guests had continued to dance. She watched them curiously for a moment, then turned back to Darhin.
''You want to dance again?''
Kar asked with a slight smile, a bit embarrassed to ask.

As Bella and Liam walked back into the ball Bella felt a surge of that lost feeling that was becoming all to familiar. She was glad to have Liam's reassuring presence beside her. "Thank you ever so much for coming with me.

"Sure, if you want to." He stood up, leaving the plate where it was, and outstretched his hand, calloused and rough from years of working in the stables. He smiled as he looked at the dancing floor, there was still a few people out, and more where coming after they had eaten. He looked back at Karei, smiling brightly.

[Liam]

Liam smiled at his damsel in distress and led her toward the king.

"Your majesty, this young lady would like some place to stay. Would you consider letting her have a guest room?"

[Karei]

Karei smiled, taking his hand lightly as she stood up. Her gaze wondered around the room and she felt out of place, but just shook her head and looked back at Darhin with a smile. One hand moved up to his shoulder again as she kept her opposite hand in his.
''I'm really enjoying myself.Though I thinkk this will be a once in a lifetime thing for me...''
She said with a slight smirk, being careful with her movements.

Darhin smiled, grabbing one of her hands, and resting the other on her hip. They began to dance, moving in rythem to the music playing behind them. "Well I'm glad to know your having fun, and who knows, maybe your be invited to another ball sometime." He felt content as they continued to dance, he knew he was having a wonderful time. And was glad he decided to come.

Karei smiled, a sort of nervous chuckle escaping her.
''I wasn't really invited...''
She said, blushing from embarrassment. She glanced down, smirking still.
''I heard a merchant talking about it yesterday and at first I didn't pay any attention...but for some reason it kept nagging me and I decided to come. I'm surprised the guards let me in. I felt so out of place.''
She chuckled again.

Darhin laughed, "Its all in your head, your fine. I think you fit in perfectly, but then again, I'm a stable boy so maybe you just fit in to my standards." He smiled as he took another step to the right. The dancing was much easier this time. Which he was grateful for. He was beginning to get more use to it.

[Karei]

Kar smiled, chuckling softly.
''Maybe your right. I might just be paranoid.''
She said with a smirk, following his movements. It was easier for ehr to dance now and, even though it was still a bit awkward, she was enjoying herself.

The song stopped and Darhin pulled away from her, he looked down at her and asked, "So what do you want to do now?" Though it was late the dance floor was lively, filled with quite a few people but not as many as there were earlier. He wondered if she would want to dance again. But thought it was unlikely, they were both pretty tired.

Karei let out a soft sigh, brushing a few stray strands of hair from her face.
''Um...I'm not really sure.''
She replied with a half-smirk, looking around curiously.
''I guess I'll let you decide what we should do.''

"Want to just sit down and talk for a bit? I'm a bit tired of dancing." He said honestly. It had been a long day, he would like to sit down a bit.

[Karei]

''Yea, that's sounds nice.''
Karei said, sounding relieved.
''You want to find somewhere a bit more...quiet to sit?''
She asked, glancing around quickly at the room.

[King Thedriol]

THedriol nodded to Liam, some of the mea having gone to his head a little. "Of course! Consider her your guest!" He smiled. "Make yourselves at hmoe in the guest rooms."

He turned to nod to Kuna. "Of course, dear." He said affectionately. "You're excused. Just mind you stay out of trouble."

"Sure, where do you want to go?" He asked, his voice light. It was already pretty dark out, so going outside would probably not be wise. They would not be able to see each other. Perhaps one of the rooms inside. The castle was huge, there must be some sort of palor or sitting rooms somewhere inside. He said what he was thinking to her, wondering if it was alright with her.

[Karei]

Karei blinked, nibbling at her bottom lip.
''I think I saw a room just down the corridor...''
She said thoughtfully.
''C'mon, people are beginning to stare.''
She smirked slightly, knowing that they must have looked odd just standing there in the middle of the room. Kar grabbed his hand and lightly lead him to the doors.

Darhin felt himself get dragged off the floor by Karei, who was grabbing onto his wrist. Wow, he thought she has a strong grip. He followed her down the corridor to the door. He still wasn't sure where they were going, but trusted Karei. But he couldn't help but wonder where they were going.

[Karei]

Karei smirked at him.
''Relax, would ya? I'm not gonna kill you or anything.''
She said with a soft chuckle, leading him to the sitting room.

Bella gave a curtsy to the King ---knowing how much she owed him, not only for this.--- and pull Liam over to a table. "Thank you ever so much Liam, I would never have the courage to do that."

[Liam]

"That's all right." Liam told his companion. "I make it my business to help fair ladies in need"
