It was him alright. Darhin quickly made his way in the opposite direction, going as fast as he could. He retraced his steps, hoping he wasn't to late. Finally he made it to where they were before they seperated, and took the path she took, he went up a staircase and turned into the first open door...

The Baron Ralond back away, his eyes wide, and his face mirroring that of a man who is surrounded and cornered, She found out...She knows...She found out...She knows... the thoughts came in rapid prosession, but he tried his hardest to hid his shock on his aging face, "It has been a while Karei," He said, keeping his voice level, "It is surprising that the first thing you do when we met again is make false accusations of me." He said, masking his fear with the best of his ability. "So what have you been doing all these years?"

''False accusations my ass.'' She hissed, stopping directly in front of him, blocking his exit. ''You killed my parents. I know you did. It would be very nice if I knew why, now.'' She moved her hands to the hilts of her swords, glaring at him with icy blue eyes.

Darhin went throught he door, and the scene that greeted him was a very unpleasant one, there Karei stood, hands on her hilts and on the other side of the room was a aging man, with a steely face, but he could still see a flicker of fear in his eyes. Darhin silently made his way toward the center of the room, to stop the man if he decided to attack Karei.

Well this was unexpected. The Baron watched as the door suddenly opened an a new person walked in, it was a young boy, just around Karei's age. He had never seen him before but by the looks of him he was very strong, and Karei was just as threatening with those two swords on her waist. He was outnumbered and unarmed he pressed his back against the far wall, finding it hard to speak.

''Well, aren't you going to tell me?'' She noticed the man look behind and and glanced over her shoulder, seeing Darhin. She relaxed some, bringing one hand away from her swords, though kept her other hand on the hilt of Hai.

Darhin looked at the man, he certainly didn't look like any killer. He was a old man, with graying hair, and a large bald spot on the top of his forehead. He wore very fancy clothing, with frills and lace, that just simply made him look tacky. He asked, "Is this him?" Still a bit unsure, it was then he spotted the man iching towards the back corner of the room. Something was happening.

He was outnumbered, he had to get away. There was only one solution, "Well Karei, truth be told, yes, I did kill your parents, but why, I'm afraid your will not find out." At the last minute he pressed a side pannel in the wall, having it open up, he quickly ran down the secret corridor and found himself in the basement of the mansion, he made his way towards the front doors, hoping to get out of the room and into the city hall, there he could make excuse to the authorites, his money should be persuasive enough. It was a good enough plan, all he had to do now is leave.

Darhin wordlessly followed her out, by the expression on her face he thought it was best to not say anything for now. He spotted the Baron a second after Karei did and quickly rushed out to stop him.

Kar saw him head out to the stables and growled. She didn't plan on letting him actualyl taking a horse, even though she was sure Arai could outrun any of his. She drew out her dagger, throwing it at the man and striking him in the calf.

The Baron stumbled as the knife dug deep into his leg. He screamed, looking back at where the girl was, since when could she throw a knife like that. He unsteadily made his way towards the stables, finding the very first one he could find and stirred the stolen horse into a gallop.

Wait! He's stealing Harind! Darhin thought frantically, but then realized that it was probably for hte best. He watched as Harind started to fight against the man, bucking him off and sending him flying against the ground. He watched as Harind made his way back to the stables, and left the Baron on the ground.

Karei came to a stop before the fallen man, one sword draw and the tip at his neck. Her icy eyes glared down at the blade at him. ''Can't run now. Tell me why you killed them.''

The Baron struggled to get up, staring at the girl in fear, "Please...please, don't hurt me...I'll tell you whatever you want but just don't hurt me!!" He sobbed, crawling away from the enraged girl. His heart pounding against his chest, and eyes wide, clutching the ground frantically.

He's pathetic Darhin thought, looking at the man with a steely face but inside feeling a tang of pity for him. He knew the man was a murder, and had killed off Karei's parents, but as he looked onto him he couldn't help but feel sorry for him, it was a pitiful sight.

Karei felt her rage grow and she stepped forward. ''Why the hell shouldn't I harm you?! You killed my parents when I was a mere child! Yo u put me through years of pain so why shouldn't I return the favor?!'' She yelled, keeping her sword pointed at him. She felt her muscles tremble slightly with fury but remained still, glaring at the cowardly man.

Ralond stared at her worldlessly, terror overcame him so much he was left speechless, when he finally found his voice he cried, "I'm sorry! Please, I beg of you, have mercy on me! I didn't have any other choice!! I would have been left broken!! My fortune gone!! Please spare me!! I'm so sorry!!" He was literally shaking that was how frightened he was.

''If I killed you death would probably spit you back up, you're so pathetic.'' Karei spat, still glaring down at him. ''All I want to know is why you killed my parents.'' She growled, putting her sword away for the moment. And maybe let my horse trample you. Kar added in her mind, though she doubted Arai had enough dignity to do that.

Darhin looked at the fallen Baron and back at Karei. She was very mad, and he wasn't sure what she would do. He remembered her words earlier and thought about trying to convince her otherwise, but decided wisely to keep quiet, and hope she just waited to hear what the Baron had to say before she harmed him.
