(I have been thinking about it, and I'm going to change the reason for the murder, just to be a bit more realistic...)
Ralond realized he didn't have any other choice, if he didn't tell her, she would kill him. If he lied, they would know...he sighed, and wondered how he ever got into this mess, "It started with my son, you know him...he has always wanted my inheritance...obsessed really...so I arranged his marriage to you, to get him out of my hair, to shame him...but...it didn't work. He got angry. Very angry...he tried to kill me, and then take the inheritance himself...I...I...killed him in defense...it was an accident. But...your father...he saw me...he threatened to go to the authorites...I couldn't let that happen..." He fell to the ground his head held in shame.

Karei asked, glaring at him icily.

Darhin looked down at the man in disgust, he killed his own son? Who could do such a thing? He knew he said it was because of self denfense, but if so why did he have to cover it up by killing Karei's father? He was looking down at a man who had murdered three different people, just to protect himself. He suddenly wished he was away from this person.

The man was shaking quite visably in fact, "She was there, there when I killed him, she witnessed it too...I had no other choice! If he went and told the authorites my titles would be stripped from me! I'm so sorry!!" He collasped into the ground, knowing that he would be killed today, he grudingly admited he knew this day would come, the only thing he could hold onto was the fact he still died a rich and powerful man...

Karei was shaking with fury and she was finding it impossibly hard to control herself. She looked down at the old man, her icy eyes ablaze with rage.
''I won't kill you, but I'll take you far away from here, where your titles and money mean nothing and leave you there and you can pray that you survive.''
She growled, her hands clenched into tight fists as she restrained herself from striking the man. |

Darhin looked down at the man, "Actually I think I would agree with that idea." The Baron was staring up at them with wide eyes, as if not believing what he was hearing, but Darhin couldn't care less. He deserved some sort of punishment for all that he has done.

Karei reached down, roughly grabbing the fabric of his shirt from behind and pulling him to his feet.
''Like I said, I'm sure even death would reject you because your so pathetic so I won't bother trying to kill you.''
She growled, pulling the man back into the stables so that she could get Arai. |

The Baron looked up at the girl, relief flooding his features, "Thank you, so very much." His life was going to be spared, but suddenly the other thing she said registered to him, "Wait...your not really going to take me away and leave me in the wilderness...are you?" Fear suddenly gripped his heart, staring at their faces, "You can't! I'll...I'll die out there!" Fear gripped his heart once more as he looked at the two wordlessly.

Karei replied with a growl, pulling Arai out and turning, glaring at the man icily.
''You killed my parents and I probably could not have lived. I was lucky because the farmer found me. So now I'll do the same to you.''
She added, her glare darkening some as she pulled out a second horse.
''Don't try running away, either because my horse can run you down in moments.'' |

Darhin stole a quick glance at Karei, that was kind of harsh...but then again it was her parents that were killed by this man. He couldn't blame her for her actions, but that didn't mean he approved, "How about we tell the authorites of what happened, have them strip away his titles, that would be the best revenge you could have on him, for it seems thats all he truly cares about." He said the last bit in a pitying tone of voice, staring at the man before him.

The man's eyes widened considerably when he heard that, "You can't!" Horror evident in his voice, "Kill me but don't take away my titles or fortune!" He flinched visably after he said that, afraid that Karei would do just that, as he inched away from them both, thinking desprately of what to do to get away.

She growled out, letting the second horse go. Arai watched curiously, but kept his distance as he could sense Kar's rage. Then again the wild animals out there would probably be tortured with this pathetic ass in their territory. |

Realizing that Karei had made a decision Darhin went up and grabbed the man's arm, with such a strong grip that there was no way he could escape, "If were going to do this, we need to do it right, first off, how did you find him? You told me you didn't know who killed your parents...if there's anything we can use as evidence against him it will be easier to convince the authorites, also we could probably find a thought-mage who would be willing to probe his mind for the memory of the event. Maybe we can convince him to make another confession, one with more people nearby."

Kar replied, her glare never leaving the man. She was sure Gavin was still in Elidwen, he would have to know. If he knew, why wouldn't he go to the authorities then? she wondered, but shook the thought from her head. I bet this bastard bought them off again or soemthing. Karei gussed, her glare darkening. |

"I think we can find him and convince him to help us, also it should be easy to find a thought-mage, if worse comes to worse I could always use the Amulet. We best go into Elidwen, and make sure he doesn't try to escape again," He said nodding in the Baron's direction.

She couldn't help but smirk. After all her rants about the baron when she was young Gavin had begun to hate the man and his son. |
