Karei replied, turning and lying on her side. Arai followed suit, lying behind her and laying his head down. Kar shifted her position, resting against the steed's barrel.
''Even though my destiny is layed out, does not mean that it will come to pas, though.''
She added with a slight smile. |

Cody grinned as the fire burned out. In the darkness he spoke "Wanna see something really amazing?"

Karei blinked, adjusting her eyes to the darkness. She smirked slightly, listening to the snorting breaths that Arai took.
''Sure. What is it?''
She replied, her tone curious. |

Cody began to take off his gloves his hands emiting a light blue glow it cast a shadow over the camp a grin seen on Cody's face as he closes his eyes. He begins to commune with the spirits asking for assistance, suddenly in a huge fireball the spirits ignite the exstingushed campfire cinders flying in the air.

Karei blinked, watching in awe. She smiled, looking from the fire to him.
''That was amazing.''
She said with a slight laugh. Arai continued to doze peacefully, obviously unimpressed. Kar glanced back as he let out a soft snort and she chuckled.
''Well, in my opinion it was.'' |

Cody laughed after Arai told him that he could have done that. "It was not my doing I simply asked the spirits of the fire that had moved on to return, the did so i such a force too. They are responding strangley to me recently. Like in more a forceful way. I do not understand it. Something is very different." Cody's eyes became intense as he spoke.

Karei tilted her head to one side, blinking curiously.
''I would help you, but it may come as no surprise that I know little about the spirits.''
Her voice was hushed by a howl and she remained still for a moment, listening.
''It seems we're on wolf territory.''
She said with an amused smile. She sat up, putting out the fire so it would not anger the beasts. Arai did not seem afraid, nor did she. |

Cody could sense the wolves as their padded feet walked crunched down on the the tall grass, he sensed their animal like eyes eyeing him sensing his great presence. He began to speak to them as though they were brothers, Cody's howl reached in the high pitches as they began to answer. He understood their concern, something else had been distrubing them. "Something has attacked the wolves out here, Karei be wary. They mean us no harm they have come only to investigate to see if we the attackers."

Karei smiled slightly in response.
''I said I do not understand spirits. Beasts, however, I do know. Right Arai?''
Her response from the horse as a simple snoting grunt. She chuckled and looked up as she saw the gleam of a wolf's eyes. She took up some left over meat from her earlier kill and laid it on the ground for the leader. The alpha came down slowly, a warning growl escaping his muzzle. He seemed to not mind Cody, though. Her lowered his nose to the meat and took a hesitant bite. Satisfied, he ate the rest and looked back up at Karei.
''See, no harm here.''
She said softly. Arai lifted his head, turning his neck around Karei to see the wolf. His ears were laid back with instinctive fear, but her remained still. |

"You continue to surpise me Karei. Tell me how have acquired such gifts the connection to animals is not many have." Cody asked cursiouly as the alpha came over sniffing at Cody's great-hammer.

''I have spent the last few years of my life traveling through wilderness. Experience, basically. Studying the way they act and react has helped a lot.''
Karei smiled, a wolf pup bounding up to her and pouncing her lap. The pup yipped loudly, jumping up and down. Karei laughed softly, gently playing with the young wolf cub. AS the mother came by she stopped, leaning back so that the elder wolf could take her pup back. |

Cody grinned as he watched her play with the cub and as the mother took her cub back."Your quite good with the young ones Karei." He grinned as the wolf cub struggled with its mother.

Karei laughed softly. The pup had broke free and bounded back to her, leaping up against her chest and licking her chin.
''So I see. I guessed that much after Arai followed me away from the farm.''
She said with a smile, once more playing with the young one. The mother appeared to disapprove, but allowed it. |

Cody yawned it was getting very late.
"Karei I hope you don't mind, but I would like to get some rest. Wake me if you need me." He winks as he lays down lying his head on mother earth.

Karei nodded quietly, watching as he laid down. For a little while she continued to play with the cub, then gave him back to his mother. Arai had fallen asleep by now and she curled up against him gently, slowly falling asleep. |
