Cody watched the Dark Knight ride off. He was running scared. Cody brushed the white hair out of his eyes. Picking up his great-hammer he began to commune with the spirits. He could feel the forest cry out. The mountains roaring. Then he could feel the fields, they were in agony. An army? Outside the village? Indeed. He could sense the young women riding right into the ambush, very much engaged in combat with the Dark Knight. Cody grinned as he began to charge, let the spirits of the sky guide his feet giving him a heightened running speed. He felt like he wasn't even running but flying he was moving so fast. Never had the spirits responded to him like this, curious. He lept over a burning fire in the streets, and lept again this time over a house. He could feel the drain, but something was strange it wasn't as substantial as before. He would have been tired by now, yet he felt like he just keep going now. Cody grinned whatever it was he thanked the spirits. As he came down to the ground two soldiers turned to engage him. They lost their heads with one swing. Two for the price of one. He continued to charge but not towards the sound of hooves he heard, but into the field. If he could foil the ambush he would. He reached the edge of town rather quickly as he charge onto the field he saw what could only be described as a huge Thern and Rael army. He steadied himself as he gripped his great-hammer. This was going to his time. He charged exploded into the first rank, the archers scrambled but were completly caught off guard. He tore into the linesmen like they were training dummies. His fury boling as he swung left and right. A huge circle was made with every swing. He could hear the cries of his enemies as they were crushed underneath his great hammer or sent flying into the further ranks. The soldiers around him begin to scatter as he continued to blast his way through the footmen. He could here the crunch of metal and bone. Blood flew all over his body as he continued to crush all that lay before him. The frenzy was in full swing his eyes had changed from baby blue to burning red. His veins were popping out all over his body. His usual shining armour was bloodstained as he continued to swing his great hammer which create waves of bodys with each blow. He roared sending several dozen of the soldiers scattering.

((ooc: Be careful prophet, your godmoding a bit...hard not to though. It's fun!))
Gerold saw her slice off his saddle, and realized there was nothing he could do. Shifting to the left, he pushed off from the side of his horse. And leaped into the air, catching the young woman from the side and throwing her off her horse. Landing roughly on top of her. Getting up he grabbed her hair with one hand and her wrists with another. Both her blades on the ground nearby. He saw her horse standing next to them, and looking at his master in confusion. In the distance he heard the sound of ferocious fighting. The Collosus man was doing a good job in fighting them, but no single man could defeat an entire army.
And especially not his army.
He glared down at the girl who was viciously fighting his grip, "Now lets see how your friend is doing shall we?" He got no response from her as he walked down into the valley. Knowing that this should stop the oaf dead in his tracks.
((ooc: Sorry Karei, I just didn't want theprophet to get to far ahead of us))

Karei let out a slight growl, still struggling through his grip strongly. Still, she noticed she wasn't much of a match for him. She saw Arai tossing his mane and prancing in circles restlessly, unsure of what to do. An idea came to her mind and she withdrew one of the daggers, hidden in her sleeve. ''Arai! Bolt!'' She ordered sharply. Arai stopped, then lunged straight forward. Just when she had the distance judged she struck the blade of her dagger through the knights wrist. As soon as his grip was loosened she ducked low and Arai had come within range. She took a hold of his mane and swung onto his back, straightening herself quickly. Grimacing she realised she had pulled her shouder just slightly, but paid no mind to it yet. She drew a sword, which was stuck in a corpse, and turned to see how Cody was fairing. He seems to be doing very well... She thought, turning her attention back to her opponent. ''Your fight is with me for the time being.'' She said with a strong, determined tone in her voice, gripping the sword in her hand. The hilt felt strange, as it was not her sword, but it was a sword, none-the-less. it was stranger that she didn't have another sword in her other hand. Still have Arai. Can't loose a battle with him. She thought with a smirk. Arai lunged forward toward the knight and Karei drew the sword toward his neck swiftly.

Gerold would have normaly blocked that attack easily, but his wrist was still wounded from her dagger. So all he could do was duck out of the way as the blade skimmed against his shoulder, protected by his armor. He still heard the sounds of the battle in the valley, now the village was entirely deserted. His men going into the valley as was his orders and the townspeople either dead or had fled to somewhere safe. He knew he should be out in the valley, gathering and ordering his troops about. But instead he would have to rely on Qienid. He glared at the young woman, who appeared to be charging for another attack. "You are holding me back from my duties!" He had thought he could take care of her and the other man at the same time and he now realized this to be false. He had to stop her. He only saw one way how.
Her horse.
He was never a fast one, and this needed percise timing. He waited for the horse to come forth and at the last moment jumped out of the way and slashed backwards with his sword. However he misjudged the jump and was too slow on the uptake so instead of slicing the horse's limb off like he intended instead it just made a deep cut in the uper leg.
It was enough though.
The horse stumbled and the girl fell off. Landing roughly in front of him. He smiled a twisted smile. She was holding a weapon that was not hers, and she no longer had her steed.
He had all the advantages. This should be quick.

Karei was upp on her feet in a second. She rushed to Arai and quickly settled him down. The wound was deep, though she saw that it would heal nicely if she took care of it. Still, Karei was very, very pissed off. ''Dammit!'' She yelled. She saw her swords lying off at a distance and quickly darted toward them, dropping the sword that did not belong to her and picking both up. The bay stallion was still trying to staand, however. She rammed the hilt of her word on the pressure point of his neck and knocked him out. Looking up she cast a deadly glare at the night who had dare injure her horse. Her usual calm, sea-blue eyes now seemed very icy and held a very dark hatred. (Imagined how it would be if he killed the horse.) Her position changed slightly. She was turned sidways, but her torso was facing the knight. Her weight was shifted on her back leg and both swords were held lightly in her hand. Her muscles were relaxed, which made her movements easier. Now her determination to kill this man was verystrong, and it seemed to seep into her angry aura even.

Darhin looked about he ruined town with a solemn expression. He did not know what happened here. But he could guess. Harind kept trotting on, but was now speeding up. He caught a wiff of soemething that frightened him, being untrained in battle. He could do nothing to stop the horse as it continued on its way, avoiding the center of the town at all costs. It was within a matter of moments that they exited the town and reached a large valley.
It was like Darhin had stepped out of a ghost town and into choas.
The clashing sounds of steel sounding on all sides. Blood gushed down and littered the floor. It was from here that Darhin saw the state of this town. And saw the hopelessness of it. A large army, of both Thernian and Raelian people (Which the sight confused him greatly) was attacking a small group of militia, a local army that protects thier hometown. They were unimiginably outnumbered. The swordsmen slaugthering the militia and the archers attacking from above. He also saw who the militia was protececting.
The last remants of the town, a small band of men, woman and children.
Up above he heard a dramatic battle cry, one that he remembered from the time up on the mountaintop. He saw to his disbelief Cody fighting a large group of archers and footsmen ontop of the hill. What was more amazing was that he was actually winning. He called out his name but there was no way Cody could hear him underneath the din of the battle.
Out of the corner of his eye Darhin saw a horseman charging at him with a spear in hand. Insitinct took over as he drew his sword.

In the midst of his berseker rage, the blood splattering all over his body, the taste of his sweat. Cody could feel another presence, one he had grown accustomed to Dahrin. The spirits raged around Cody as the battle got fierce the footmen had regrouped and now instead of being on the defensive they began an offensive. It only made Cody swing harder. Cody turned his head and out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of Karei fighting the Dark Knight, Dahrin seemed to be in trouble, but he trusted that Dahrin could handle himself. I knew his young friend would be proud to see Cody in battle. It is not everyday you witness a Colossus in battle.

Gerold ignored the anger in her eyes. Not really caring about whatever bond she shared with her horse. Drawing his magical blade he evaluated the situation. The girl had her swords, but he had his longsword too. Also they both didnt' have thier horses, and best yet, she was angry at him. Which meant though she would attack more viciously and with more strenght her judgment in battle will be tainted. She could quite easily make stupid mistakes that she wouldn't have normaly. Bringing Sliteninid up horizontally to his chest he ran toward her with full intent to kill her then and there. The bloodlust of his magical blade filled him, a dark haze covered his mind. And his eyes seemed to shin with blood, the blood of his enemies, the blood of his foe!
To the left of him he saw a sight that surprised him so much that he almost let go of his sword completely.
Darhin?

Think clearly. She toled herself. Karei readied for the attack. Then something caught the knight's eyes. Perfect. She lunged forward, swiping both swords at his and knocking it from his hands. A bit easily to her surprise, as it seemed his attention was drawn elsewhere. She did not bother to look and see who it was. Both swords came up at his neck at an 'X', just above his armor where his flesh was reachable by her blades. she couldn't help but be curious. Her sea-blue eyes shifted to where the knight had looked. She blinked in surprise at who she saw. ''Darhin?'' She breathed out, her borws furrowing in confusion.

In a flash Darhin summoned up his armor and strenghtened his sword. Swinging his sword in an arc he sliced the spear in half, and then slew the horseman. Harind didn't stop but kept on galloping, trampoling over anyone that came in his way. Darhin could sense the wildness flooding through the horse's veins, this was the closest thing he had to the freedom of the forest since he was captured. Darhin let him run his wild course, as he slashed at every Thernian or Raelian that came his way. Outstrecthing his hand he let out a torent of water that knocked a swordsman unconsious. Turning around on Harind's back, he blocked a sword thrust and countered attacked. And after that just had time to bring up a frozen block of ice to block three oncoming arrows. He was getting tired, is this what all battles were like? He didn't have time to ponder that as he hacked away at another foe.

Cody roared tossing half a dozen soldiers back into the mass of enemies around him. He stood taking in the numbers. He was certainly outnumbered. But he refused to die. The footmen stood back fear and hatred in their eyes. They had never fought a Colossus. They didn't expect such brutalilty or savagery. Cody grinned, they hadn't seen nothing yet. He crashed through yet another wave of men as they charged. He wondered if they would get the hint and retreat. He could hear the commanders in the background scrambling orders about. Cody just couldn't get enough of the sound of battle he craved it. Images of his youth watching those he loved die to numbers much more then this flashed back with ever swing of his great-hammer. Today he would turn back this army. Today was his day. Today was the day of the Colossus. He would hopefully meet that Dark Knight again. He seemed to be a oppenont worthy of his time unlike the footmen of Thern and Rael. He wondered how Karie and Arai was doing and Dahrin. He had grown to care for all of them. Yet he knew by dispatching the ambush party he was doing the best he could do. War was hell. Cody bellowed such a war cry that it shook the metal of the armour of his foes around him.

Gerold would not let the suddent appearance of his long, lost brother make him foolish enough to loose his life. He realized her attention was now on Darhin and she was weaker now. Looking at the two blades, he grabbed them and pulled them apart with his brute strenght. Once far enough apart he rammed his knee into her stomach making her collaspe to the ground. Finding Sliteninid on the ground he picked it up and started rushing toward the valley.
He had all the reason in the world to go there now.
He had to find his brother and kill him, like he vowed to do all those years ago.

A soft grunt escaped Karei as she gripped her stomach. She looked up, seeing the knight heading straight for Darhin. How does he know Darhin? He's going to kill him, I know it. She thought. She retrieved her swords and glanced around quickly. She saw Cody holding back...no...destroying an army. Then she spotted a horse without a rider. Looking back she saw Arai unconscious still, and out of harm's way. Kar ran up to the riderless horse, quickly taking the reigns and looking up at his face. She murmered something quickly, then mounted, galloping after the man she had previously been fighting. Yes, riding this horse was stranger, but it did give her an advantage. Less than Arai, but still and advantage. Both swords drawn she guided the horse toward the man and moved further ahead of him. She turned the unnamed horse, stopping him between Darhin and the man. ''You just can't stay in a battle for very long, can you?'' She growled, folding both swords in her arms.

Darhin dodged another swing, as he summoned up a lage wave that swept across the field. Knocking out many enemies. He felt Harind rear up, and landed again, chrushing someone's skull. He saw the small army still fighting their enemies galantly, protecting the huddled group of people. Harind went into a full gallop as Darhin rose his sword to attack yet another foe. He stopped alongside a Zacorian swordsman and sliced off the arm of the one attacking him. He nodded his head in gratitude as he charged at his next opponent, going in an endless chain from person to person. Darhin stole a quick glance at Cody, he was faring well, very well in fact. It was quite lucky that the majority of his opponent were archers, and where to close to him to fire without hurting their comrades. Also Darhin could tell that Cody was communcating with the spirits, as he had on the mountains, he was obliterating his enemies...he only hoped he did not tire out from it, then he would be easy prey... The sound of a strangled cry sent Darhin back to the battle below. A young woman was weeping next to her dead husband, he felt a pang of compassion for her but then he noticed with a start that a Thernian had broken out from the line of defenders around the group and was rushing at the widow. Spurring on Harind he met the attacker before he got there and froze him in place, slaying him with a backhand slash. Turning back around he realized that the townspeople hadn't done a thing. Weapons left forgotten by dead enemies laid at their feet but they didn't pick it up to defend themselves or their love ones. Becoming enraged he yelled at them. "What are you doing? Are you all cowards? This is your town! Your home! Defend what you have left before all is taken from you! Pick up your swords and fight!" He couldn't say no more before he was swept into battle. However during the heat of the battle, he managed to hear a intense battle cry, one made from the townspeople. Apparently his words had given them some moral, they were going to fight.
The battle just became more even.

Cody out of the corner of his eye watched as the militia charged at the force he was countering. The sudden charge by the miltia and the constant pounding the Thern and Rael force was taking from the lone Colossus proved to be too much. The massive force begin to split, as the footmen attempted to keep rank but with a raging inferno(Cody) in their midst it was difficult. Cody could feel the now seizure like sensation of his muscles the beserker fury was burning him out and fast. Yet he ignored the constant pain and kept swing, with every swing he pulled dirt from the ground, creating a dusty haze around him. He roared again as he felt the massive force come into contact as he other clash of arms reach his ears. Qienid was struggling with keeping the forces in line. "Where is Gerold he should be here dealing with this god-forsaken monster! I have no training in how to deal with a Colossus! Dear god where is The Circle when you need them. Where is Gerold? We were not prepaired for this!" Qienid watched as Cody roared throwing several of his lines into disarry. This was not the plan!

Gerold growled at the girl, she was proving to be a pain, one that he would just have to get rid of. Glaring he ducked underneath the horse and slashed upwards, disemboweling it and killing it instantly. The girl was thrown off, this time much harder, and landed roughly against the ground. He ran at her and with as smooth motion and hit her with the blunt end of his sword, knocking her unconsious. A fire was raging within him, a bloodthirsty rage that could not be quenched. He didn't care how, but he was going to find his brother. And he was going to fight him, he did not kill the girl, and he knew she would wake up soon and prove more to be a pest, but he didn't care. Darhin was the only thing on his mind. He rushed off, jumping over collapsed debries, and out of the town all together. What he saw at the valley made him stop dead in his tracks.
The townspeople were winning. Of all the things how could that be possible? He had left his army alone for one second and this is how they act! Were they like children that they needed him by their side? Well it was time to clean up Qienid's mess.
The first thing he did was find a horse. Which wasn't hard, he saw a horseman charging at him. He jumped to the side and sliced up at him, and watched as he fell off the horse, dead before he hit the ground. In a fluent motion Gerold jumped up on the horse's back and turned to the biggest threat.
The militia was still fighting, though very weakened, he saw that they had splittened his men up, making the fight much more easier for his enemies. Yelling at the top of his lungs he charged at the thick of the army, his sword starting to glow, fiercly, a red light swirling around it brightly. He did not move, not an inch, as many men came at him, bending his armor, and even as a deep cut sliced into his arm, still he did not move.
Finally he reached the center of the opposing army, where his foes rushed at him on all sides, smiling he rose his sword above his head, it now vibrating with such an intesity that everyone could see it.
With a might yell he swung it, and all that fierceness, all the magical power stored up was released. A giant explosion sounded and all his enemies were sent flying, and a large crater now stood where they once were.
He was tired, but he dared not show it. He heard a triumphant cheer rise up from his men. They were strengthened and awed, they were still going to fight. Only something was wrong, there seemed to be a distubance up on the hilltops.
There he saw the Collosus, fighting in his brutal manner, he was slaughtering off all his archers, and killing off any of the footmen or horsemen that came up to help. Becoming enraged, at the man and himself for letting the scum slip away from him, he spurred the horse on, his sword tainted with blood eager to recieve another.
Be careful warrior...you've just met your match.

By the time she had fallen unconscious, Arai had awoken. Instanly the large stallion stood up and limped to where her scent was. He lowered his muzle, nudging her roughly. A disapproving snort passed his nostrils as he tried again, very confused. After a few moments he opened his jaws and nipped her shoulder harshly. Karei jerked up, feeling light-headed. Her entire body was in pain, but she didn't mind that now. Reaching up she grabbed Arai's mane and pulled herself up, leaning on his shoulder for a moment. Looking around she saw Cody first, doing his worst against the army. But something about him seemed a bit sluggish...The next person she saw was Darhin, still riding Harind through the town. He disappeared from her view after a moment and she glanced around quickly. Her eyes caught the man she and Cody had fought previously. Karei picked up her swords and quickly ran down the street. Most of the warriors had gone to assist the army and...or...the dark knight, so it was much easier to get by. Arai limped quickly after her, partly trotting. ''Stay put!'' She snapped at the beast. When he didn't she let out a groan and grabbed the reigns to guide him through the corpses and burning buildings. She saw Darhin and Harind nearby and stopped. ''Darhin!'' She called out, then seeing that he probably did not have much control of the firery steed he rode. A horse going into battle...I knew this creature was a unique one. She thought, hurying over to where he was. She cut down one of the Thernian soldiers and skidded to a stop a few yards in front of Darhin and the black stallion.

Cody turned as his enemies parted and began to run, he saw who was riding towards him covered in blood the Dark Knight was riding at a full pace towards him. He immediatly summoned the spirits of the sky, they began to flow around him gathering his thoughts he sent them to Karie and Dahrin, to Dahrin he hoped to that Dahrin might aid him. Karei mother earth had told him she had fallen, but wasn't dead hopefully the spirits of the sky would wake her. He knew both of them may not be in tune to the spirits as he was but he was hoping that the spirits would be persistent. The dark knight was now in striking distance, Cody charged blasting his horse in the chest with his great-hammer sending the dark knight tumbling.

"Karei?" Darhin asked, simply amazed. First Cody, now Karei, was Cien and the king going to show up too? He tried to turn Harind toward her direction, and for once the horse listened to him as he drew up near her. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a man rushing at them slashing at him, he fell dead. Turning to Karei, he noticed that her horse, Arai, was gone. "What happned to your horse?" He asked, but didn't ask any more questions when he got close enough to see how bad she looked, her clothes were very ragged, as if she had been fighting for hours, and there was this dazed out look in her eyes, as if she had just woken up. "Here, get on Harind, you do better with him, I'll fight on foot."

Gerold felt, rather then saw the Colosus strike his horse, he felt the beast fall, forcing him out of the saddle. He was sent colliding against the ground. But quickly recovered, and instead did a back flip, landing on his feet. Locking eyes with the man who had single handledly fought against his army. He ran at him, swinging his sword above his head and bringing it down in a powerful swing against the great-hammer.
