Gerold drew the reins of his massive warhorse to a stop, examining what would be beautiful scenery with a indifferent examination. Looking at the rolling hills, and the tall trees a plan forming in his mind's eye. He turned to his army, a group of Raelians and Thernians banded together to fight this new foe. He pointed to a man on horseback, who had once been a head general in Rael's army before the Merge, and called him forward.
The man came galloping up on his steed, his armor glistening in the sunlight. "Yes my Lord?" His voice was deep and gruff, and his tone revealing none of his true emotions. It was difficult for Gerold to gouge his feelings. "We will reach Zacoria in a few minutes, I want you to rally up your men, get your archers and put them in rank with mine. Also find your best swordsmen, I want them to be standing at the bottom of the hillside with mine. With the archers over head. I plan on sending a scout out into the town, their local militia will come running after him once they see him displaying Thern's colors." Gerold smirked, idoits they were, can't even figure out the ambushed that awaited them at the valley next to their home.
"Very well my Lord, I will prepare my equipment to join them." He said as he was about to leave. However Gerold stopped him.
"Not so fast Qienid, we are going to do a something different. I'm going to find the fastest and most able of my horsemen and they will come with us as we ride through the town. There we will kill all men we see. And then come up from behind to help reinforce the asault against the militia at the valley."
Qienid paled, apparently he did not like that plan much at all, but was wise enough to be quiet about it. "Are we only killing the men, My Lord? What about the women and the children?"
Gerold looked at him, and a twisted look crossed his face, "Yes your quite right, general. We should slaughter them all. I'll go ahead and inform my men of the new plan, good day to you." He couldn't help but laugh at the stricken look on the man's face as he rode away.

((ooc: hope ya don't mind my joining. ^^)) Karei was exhausted. Days of travel and she barely had received much money for her skills. She calmly lead Arai along the old road, heading to the town. She didn't want to ride the great stallion because he, too, looked rather tired and still she needed him to carry their supplies. As they walked, she looked through her pouch to see how much money they had. ''Just a few silver and copper coins, and one gold coin...'' She murmered aloud, letting out a heavy sigh. Yes, she did have more, but she wouldn't spend it. No, that was being saved. For what? She didn't know. It just seemed wiser. The money was stored in a pack, hidden beneath her clothing. Looking up, Karei saw the town of Forai ahead and smiled. ''Maybe we can find a cheap inn, there. And a cheap stable...maybe I could work off the amount due...'' She said, slipping the pouch back in her tunic. Kar huried down to the town, Arai following at her heels. She moved from one inn to the next, trying to find a suitable place for Arai and an inn for herself. Unfortunately, most were too expensive and wanted money rather than her services. ''Guess we're camping...'' She said with a sigh. She managed to buy a loaf of bread with her money and then lead him through the town. They left the opposite way they had came and arrived at a clearing, at the top of a hill, in the forest area. She noticed something over yonder, but could not make out what it was. I might find out later...but my instinct tells me that I don't want to. A frown was visible as she quickly set up camp, heaving the load off of her horse's back. She didn't completely unpack, now. Nor did she disarm herself. Oddly enough, she felt she would need her items. Looking over her shoulder, she could still see the town, which was only about a hundred yards away from where she had set camp. A soft sigh escaped her and she grabbed her bow and arrow, which she only used for hunting, and mounted Arai bareback. ''C'mon, let's go find some meat.'' She murmered, urging him into an easy canter. And I am curious as to what that was... She thought mentally. During her hunt she found a large stag, though still young as it seemed prematured. Tying the reigns up she knotched an arrow in ehr bow, and pursued the deer swiftly, waiting until she was in range to fire. The deer lead her to a hillside some ways away and she shot it down there. Karei dismounted Arai and took up the beast. Just as she was standing she got a closer few of the ary. An army? None of the towns people seemed to be readying themselves for battle.... Before she could jump to any conclusions, she tied Arai to a tree and slowly crept closer. Hidden in a thick brush she remained still. She could hear two men talking. Both eyes widened at the cruelty of the spoken words. Dammit... She waited until she heard the sound of hoofbeats and rushed back to Arai. She quickly strapped the deer to her stallion's back, mounted in front of the stag. With a cluck of the tongue and a jab with her heels, she moved Arai into a gallop, winding through the trees quickly. She only slowed to drop the prey in her campsite.

((Sure go ahead, oh by the way Forai is the name of the country Zacoria is the name of the town))
Gerold lead his men to the back side of the town, in a harse cold voice he ordered them into long ranks. The horse's hoofs pounding against the ground. Qienid looked restless on his horse's saddle. Gerold cared not, let him feel uneasy, if he never massacred an entire town before then this would be a good time to start. It was about time that the Raelians knew how a Thernian fought.
Drawing Slitinenid from its sheath Gerold let loose a wild battle cry as they went galloping through the streets. Their blades slaughting all that came into their way, men, woman child. He once saw a man standing in front of his wife and children holding a sword without any skill in using it. Gerold swiftly killed him and watched as his men took care of the others.
Some of the men had brought torches, and threw them through the windows, causing massive fires to form. People ran about in blind panic proving to be easy prey. Gerold laughed. His sword glowing sickly power as blood stained his hands. The thrill of war, the bliss of bloodlust came over him. He didn't leave until heaps of bodys flooded the roads. He never saw nor cared about the people in front of him. Only the war cry of Slitinenid was what he heard, only the flash of steel he saw.

((ooc: figures, my muse returns but my brain doesn't xP))
Soon enough Karei had reached the town. Once more she tied the reigns and unsheathed both swords, Hai in her right hand, Hei in her left hand. She spurred Arai forward, wielding her swords. Within moments she had come up to the soldiers, taking one by surprise and slicing through his arm. She didn't bother to finish him off or anything of the sort, just continued on to the next soldier she saw. The next soldier did indeed put up a fight, but with Arai's maneuverability she was able to defeat him. Where's the leader? Maybe if I can defeat him the rest will retreat... She thought, cantering down the streets, searching for someone who would appear to have some authority. She came to battle with many of the soldiers and, despite the injuries she received, was able to defeat each.

Something was wrong, Gerold could tell immediately, many of his soldiers suddenly fell, someone was attacking them, someone more skilled then this lot of bubbling idiots. Looking around he spotted her out of the corner of his eye. Rearing up his warhorse he raced over and blocked one of her blades before it could connect with a horsemen's head. Seeing Qienid he shouted, "Continue with the plan, I'll take care of her!" He watched as the rest of the army left. Leaving a wide space, bordered with broken down rubble and intense fires. Glaring at the girl who tried to prevent his conquest he sneared, "You have no idea who your messing with." Spurring his warhorse on he rose Slitinenid to met her two blades.

Arai suddenly shied to one side, Karei managing to stay on through instinct.Turning she saw what had spooked him: a man riding toward them on a large war horse. Arai snoted, pawing the ground and rearing up just slightly. Both blades in hands she urged him forward, galloping swiftly toward her new opponent. At the last second Arai leaped to the side and Karei struck out with both blades, Hai heading toward the enemy's neck, Hei toward his torso.

Gerold completely ignored the blade going to his torso and instead concentrated on the one slicing at his forehead. Swing upward in a powerful arc his sword connected with her first blade and sent it flying into the air, clattering on the ground far away. The second blade hit its mark but did little to no damage, his magical breastplate protecting him more then a normal one would. He watched as she retreated as if heading back to retrieve her fallen sword. He would not let her get away. The warhorse went into a intense gallop catching up with her in seconds, he rose his giant sword in a swing to decapitate her.

Cody had walked into the battleground. Instantly Peacehammer went into action blasting a soldier in the chest. He turned as another approached charging like a damn fool. Cody grinned he swung so hard it took the man's head off. He walked the down the burning streets dispatching any he saw. He had come to this town to get away from the hustle and bustle of Calamere and here was war. It had come. Cody roared as he watched a group of four soldiers kill a old man. Cody could feel the blood haze run through his veins. He charged as he swung his hammer he took out two of the four sending them flying into burning house. He grabbed one by the throat crushing his neck with one hand. Cody roared as the last soldier brought his sword down on Cody's back, it bounced off his plate mail. Cody stood over the dying old man. Cody turned catching the soldier in the jaw ripping it clean off with his great hammer. The dying old man began to speak. "A young girl is here, help her. He..." the old man died in Cody's arms.
Cody roared so loudly that the earth shook. It was time. Thern and Rael would once again fear the Colossus. He began to walk down the town streets as ash flew through the air. A horsemen rode at him with sword held high. He caught the horsemen in the chest with his Hammer sending the man crashing through a burning wall. He then turned he caught sight of young woman doing very well against the soldiers. He followed her until he could catch up. When he did he saw a behomoth of a man easily rivaling his own size on a horse with dark armour. The spirits raged around the man. Cody roared letting the warrior know his intentions.

The sound of a roar caught her attention, but she would not be distracted. She saw the man coming ofr her and quickly ducked to the side of Arai's neck. She swung her sword at his and drew a dagger. Her aim was to hold ack his sword, even for a moment, so that her dagger could catch the flesh on his neck. During her attack arai had moved closer to the man's steed, a soft swual escaping his maw.

Two more soldiers approched Cody he dispatched them making a bee-line for the dark knight. His colors were clearly of high caliber Thern. It would be his undoing. Cody felt the burn of his intense berseker blood running wildly through his chest and out through his arms. He strength now nearly doubled he charged bulldozing through another six hardly trained soldiers. He lept into the air his great hammer raised above his shoulder another roar leaving his lungs breathless.

Gerold saw the girl draw her knife and he also saw the man charging at him. In a split of a second he knew exactly what to do. He jumped off his horse, letting it continue to ride, and at the same time missed the girl's swing. He landed near the charging man, bringing Slitinenid in front of him he rushed up and met the hammer with a powerful impact. Up close he could see the tattoos covering his body, it was enough to make him withdrew contact and jump out of the way. A anger filled him, one that hated this man simply for existing, "So..." He sneered, "You are the Collosus scum the Circle has been hunting, I must admit its a disapointing sight." Twisting his blade in his hands Gerold glowered at the man, "Prove to me you deserve to die by my hands." He yelled a Thernian battle cry as he charged at him.

Cody grinned. Aggronant fool. He let the roar of the fire run through him fueling his next blow. He let the man's comments run. Speaking to one's foe is a sign of aggronace and weakness. He would kill this one silently. He quickly caught the dark knight in the chest with the back of his hammer, only strong enough to send him a few feet back and took a huge swing aiming for the man's hip. He wanted to make this hurt.

Karei leaned to the side, almost perpendicular to Arai, and picked up her fallen sword. She turned, watching the newcomer who seemed to be on the same side as she. It seems he has everything under control...I will go after the soldiers then... She thought, sheathing her dagger and cantering to where the slaughter was continuing. Battle was drawn between her and many of the soldiers, each time she coming out victorious. I'll have to really spoil Arai after this... She thought with a soft smirk, turning to see how the man was doing against the leader.

Gerold sneered at the man, an idiot like the rest, obviously he didn't know magical armor from a plain one. He let the blow hit him, and he barely even flinched. Slicing downward he threw the hammer out of the way and pressed the blade against he man's neck, "As I was saying..." He glared. A thick look of bloodlust covering his face.

Cody's eyes flashed. The dark knight was good. He felt as though he had seen these eyes before. Maybe from when he was younger? Cody looked behind the man as time almost to stop. He saw his ancestors, his father, his mother. "Mother? Father?" Cody's eyes teared up.
"Cody.....Son don't let us down. Your our only hope. Your our dreams. We love you...." Slowly the images faded.
Cody snapped back into reality the sword pressed up against his neck. His tears dried as he roared blowling the man's eyes closed. Cody then with busrt of undeniable power and strength threw the Dark Knight off him sending him tumbling back a dozen feet his sword clattering into the street. Cody stood on his feet his fists clenched his eyes blazing intensity. "Let this be known, knight, I will not die by your hands."

Karei reigned Arai to a stop, her sea-blue gaze locked on the black knight and the newcomer. He's good. Very good. Glad he's on our side... She thought with a smirk. Her attention was drawn by two of the soldiers, both charging at her. Very quickly she judged their distance from her, and each other. Arai had calculated both faster than she and took off before she managed to ask him to. He bottled, his gallop changing to short leaps, and soon he had swept between both while karei drew both swords and strung the soldier's head from their shoulders, ducking below their blades. Turned she rbbed Arai's neck, catching her breath. ''Good boy....don't do that again...'' She said with a heavy sigh, turning to watch the battle again.

Gerold glared angry beyond belief, how did that just happen? He wondered, wasn't his armor suppose to protect him against all magical attacks? Then that must not have been magic, but just he man's streght. He glared at him, he was stronger then he looked. He picked up Slitinenid and turned to the man. That was enough of this game, it was time to finish this fool off...
It was at that moment Gerold saw the girl attacking his men, however he noticed that she was heading soutward where he had set up the ambush of archers and swordsmen for the town's militia. He also saw that the rest of the townsfolk was running that way too, as if following her. He smirked, she was leading them to her and their own deaths. Finding his horse near by he jumped into its saddle and galloped towards the girl. Slaughtering every villager that came his way. He was going to leave an mark on the people of Forai, and no one a girl or a fool of a Collosus will stop him.

Karei glanced around swiftly and cursed. Why were the townspeople following her? I'm running into battle! Go to shelter or something. She looked back to where the battle continued and turned arai around, bolting through the crowd and heading for the dark knight at a leaping gallop. Thundering hooves echoed through her ears and her determined gaze remained locked on the man. Once close enough Arai struck out with his hooves, half-rearing, and Karei swung both blades at the man's neck, Hei following Hai swiftly.

Gerold swung fiercely, having his sword conect against the two weapons and then sending them apart from each other. Gallopping past her he saw another townsperson following the girl. He knew what they were thinking, she was the one who was fighting their enemies, if they stayed near her they would be safe. He wanted them to know no one was safe from him, bringing his sword up he killed an old woman there on the spot. He turned around and saw the the girl had saw him, smirking he raised an eyebrow. A dark look flickered across his face.

Idiots. She thought, a dark look of anger showing on her features. Arai bolted, jumping between the knght and the civilians. ''Leave!'' Karei snapped, motioning Arai to rear up and charge at them. She turned back toward the man. The people hesitated, then ran once more. I better be able to sleep in an inn for this...if there are any left. She thought, withdrawing her daggers and deciding to retrieve her swords in a moment. She leaned forward, her calves gripping Arai's barrel as she had no saddle still, and she lightly whispered in his ear, murmering comething beneath her breath. Arai tossed his head, snorting, and charged forward again. Kar sat up, manuevering Arai so that he would run past the warhorse the knight rode. As Arai bolted past she ducked low and swiped her blades against the saddle, one dagger striking the girth, the other the stirrup, so that the saddle would fall and hopefully the knight with it.
