"Okay, do you have the wall? To really test out how strong it is we should use a thought-mage. That's what they did back in my father's court. But we just use the best next thing." He pulled out the Amulet from around his neck, hoping his assumption about it was correct. "I'm going to assualt your mind, your first going to have to clear your mind, and then use your mind-shield to push me out. Are you ready?" The Amulet glowed slightly in his hands, but he did nothing with it yet.

Karei nodded, eyeing the amulet for a moment before looking back up at him. ''I'm ready.'' She said, her voice growing a bit distant as she already began to clear her mind. It was easy, since she imagined it as drifting off to sleep in a way...just that she had to stay awake. Kar waited patiently, still clearing her mind and bringing up her barrier. Slowly but surely she could see the wall protecting her thoughts and memories.

He didn't hesitate. If concentrated his magic in the Amulet, if he was right then he could channel the socery powers of the Amulet into Thought-mage powers. As he was concentrating on the Amulet, sure enough he felt as if a peice of him floated off, climbing up and dissapering into her skull. At that moment a new wave of feelings came ove him as he entered her subconsious. He was impressed to find that it was pretty clear, like a white cyrstal plane. However he managed to find her barrier in a matter of seconds, it looked like some sort of brick wall from a room, he pushed against it, finding it bent easier to the touch then a normal wall would as he assaulted her mentality. Searching for a way in.

Her brows furrowed as she felt him enter her subconscious. Her eyes closed so that she would be able to concentrate more and she strengthed the barrier. She could tell he was still searching and held it still. After a few tries she felt the barrier break and her eyes shot open as she felt her memories and thoughts poor out of it. She bit her bottom lip and one hand flew up to her forehead, forcing back the throbbing pain that resulted from it.

She did really well for a while. He could tell she was fighting it, but finally he ran up and pushed with all his might agianst he barrier. It cracked and suddenly thoughts and memories started to pour in, starting from the latest thoughts and then going backwards. So the majority of it was thoughts about him and her...and memories about last night. When he went back to his body he was blushing insanely, and wouldn't look at her in the eye. Once he got his voice back he said, "Tha...that was really good," he said, then continued a bit more solidly this time, "very good for your first try. It takes some pratice. I use to have to do it for hours with thought-mages. Never could get away with anything at home..." He chuckled to himself. "It was probably a bit of an unnerving experience, I'll give you a bit more time to prepare then try it again."

Karei nodded, shaking her head a bit to regather her thoughts. She felt a bit dizzy but forced the feeling back instantly and straightened. Looking up she saw he was avoiding eye contact and she felt ehrself blush, knowing he just saw a majority of her life and her thoughts. ''Alright.'' She replied, letting out a heavy breath. After a quick moment she began to bring up the barrier again. ''Ready.'' She said firmly, focusing hard on every creased of the bricks, every bump and shadow from her memory, more determinated to keep it up.

The sensation came over him again, as he felt his mind seperate from his body and flot up to her, once again he found himself in an empty white void. And it took quite a while longer for him to find the barrier this time. When he did he started pushing against it, trying to find its cracks and widened them. He was surprised at how hard it was to do so. And how much trouble he was having in making a crack in her barrier. But he still probed at it, looking for any weakspots.

Karei quickly sealed the cracks, concentrating hard on keeping it up. Her fists clenched tightly as she concentrated hard on her barrier, keepinh it whole as much as she could as he probed and pushed. Everytime it would seem he would succeed she tried harder, her determination and stubborness succeding for her.

He tried again, but it was no use. The wall did not move. It was almsot like pressing against an actual wall, so firm and stiff it was. He tried one last time, pressing with all his strength behind it. But to no use. He finally gave up and felt his mind slip back to where his body was, blinking he found himself back in his body, then he smiled, "That was amazing Karei! I'm really impressed." He said, he looked back, and saw to his shock that it was already dark out, and that no one was around. He started blushing. "Um...well. I suppose we should...uh...go back..." He said, already thinking about the one bed...

Kar blinked her eyes open, feeling him leave her mind. She shook her head, rubbing her temples a bit. ''Heh...I think I need to lie....down...'' She stopped, her voice trailing off as she just realized what he said. Her cheeks darkened to a deep red and she nodded. ''Um...ok...let's go then.'' Karei replied, lightly grabbing his hand and heading back to the inn. Her blush darkened at the thought of the bed and she hoped he wasn't able to see it.

He did, but he didn't coment on it, after all, his face was a mirror of hers. "Alright, I think I see it up ahead." The lights were still on, so it made it very easy to see. He squeshed her hand, hoping to comfort her, as they walked towards it.

Karei nodded with a light smile, feeling him squeeze her hand. She gave a quick nod as they walked toward the building. ((ooc: mmkay. Yer turn again ))

Karei was beginning to wonder why she came back for a third time. She didn't like the town. Nor the people. But she just had to come back again.
Gavin sat outside his shop, drumming his fingers on his leg boredly. Then he noticed someone who caught his eye - someone who seemed familiar. Long, ebony hair...pale skin...then he saw it. I know those eyes anywhere. ''Karei!'' The man stood up, rushing over to her. At first the girl seemed startled, but then she blinked curiously. ''Gavin?'' He nodded and grinned. The two childhood friends exchanged words and then he invited her into his shop.
Both sat, eating a small yet tasteful dinner. ''Oh, Karei. There's something you should know.'' Gavin said, looking up at her. Curiously, Kar blinked and waited for him to go on. ''I know who killed your parents.'' He began, then continued as he ignored her expression. ''It was the Baron Ralond Uninah-'' Gavin didn't get much of a chance to finish. Kar had picked up her weapons and walked out of the shop. She mounted Arai and turned him to where the man lived, full gallop.
