The fields that surround Elidwen are either agricultural, or have a herd of sheep, cattle, or pigs living in them. The farmers make their living out here, and should you be riding across the fields don't let them catch you! For they are easy to anger and hate to see their crops and vegetables trampled by horses. Walking around the fields, however, is accepted by them as a necessity.

Kai walked slowly up the steep hill. Pieces of grain where caught in his shoes but he didn't care he was too wrapped up in his own thoughts. As he reached the top he sat down. The grain was shorter and barely reaches his ankles. He sighed as he looked over the fields below him. Kids were playing and he felt out of place. He buried his head in his arms as he tried to think of something other than his problems. He should really start thinking about finding Rogan but he didn't have the heart to do it. He had another terrible seret in his heart which not even Rogan knew. He pushed it to the back of his mind and thought he'd play with the wind. Unnoticed of course. He made a cool breeze and smiled as the grain swayed with it.Maybe it wasn't that bad, being able to control the wind. He mulled his thoughts and lay on the grain. He strecthed and decided in a few minutes he'd leave for the main city.

Cara walked through the fields, feeling the grass brushing up against her legs. Her cloak, made from brown material, floated around her ankles, the hood falling down on her back, along with her auburn coloured hair, the wind picking at strands and blowing them around her shoulders. The day was of a perfect temperature, and Cara was enjoying the peace and quiet of the afternoon. Wrapped in her own thoughts, Cara did not pay attention to the noise around her. She focused sorely on her breathing, and the scenery about her. The day was, as had been said before, perfect. There had been few days she could call perfect since everything in her life had gone wrong, yet, Cara could still find good in this cruel world. She turned her attention skyward, staring at the perfect blue of the roof of the world. Not watching where she was going, Cara tripped up over the sitting figure of Kai, and fell tumbling to the ground. Catching herself, Cara was up on her feet before you could blink an eye, and had drawn her sword protectively in the process. She remained frozen in that position for a while, eyes moving over Kai. She finally sighed, and returned her sword to its home, eyes falling downcast and shoulders slumping. "I'm sorry" She said, realizing her harsh actions. it was instinct, simply instinct, that had made her so protective. She had had many past experiences, none all the better.

Kai was startled when he felt something trip over his legs and even more startled when a girl had thrust a sword at him. It took him a while to realise she was apologising and he said slowly "It's okay. Not a problem. Umm did I do something wrong?" He hoped he hadn't she seemed to have meant buisness. He stood up and took a few paces back out of nervousness, then cursed silently to himself. He was obviously over reacting and being stupid. Wondering what to do next him simply sighed and waited for the girl to answer.

Heading towards town, Father Luca walked through the fields. He smiled at each person who looked at him. He noticed two people talking to eachother, both seemed kind of troubled, he would stay near by, maybe help if he could. He sat down on the grass to rest for a while, tired from his travels, he pulled a book out from his bag and began to read as he enjoyed the nice day. When he got to town he would see if he could find a church and ask the Priest if he could stay for a while.

Kai suddenly became aware of another presence near him. He turned sharply to see it was just another man sitting in the fields. He was reading Kai was pretty sure he presented no threat but still....he would make sure "Err who are you?" He called out. He then realised he shouldn't take his attention off the girl. He moved slightly making his position more comfortable. He suddenly became aware that his dagger was sitting most comfortable in his pocket. He was tempted to get it just for a little protection but pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He wouldn't need it.....at last he hoped he didn't..

"Err hi Father Luca. I'm Kai and who this is I don't know." He wondered whether this was te right way to address a priest but it was too late it was already out. Smilnig he waited for both to reply once again.

''This looks quiet and peaceful...maybe I can find some work here...'' Karei murmered softly, leading Arai along the dirt road. A quiet yawn escaped her as she walked; Arai had his head hung low and appeared to wish to rest, too. Poor beast. He's had to carry all that and me for quite some time...almost all day... She thought sympatheticall. Kar stopped and pulled off a few bags, tying them up on her back and walking on again. Her steed appeared to appreciate it very much. Sea-blue eyes scanned the fields for a place to stay. So far there was no room available for her and her horse. ''We might have to walk the night..'' She said with a sigh, looking up to see if the town was in view. It was, but just barely. Her gaze moved westward and the sun had already begun toset. She kept her blades handy, in case any thieves or bandits were hiding in the crops waiting for travelers. Arai seemed calm, so she didn't need to worry yet.

Darhin walked forward the sword he recieved from Cody held tightly in his hands. He had wanted to come out here to train, to try to remember all that he forgotten over the years. The fields, with its wide open spaces seemed the most reasonable spot to him. As he started to walk he saw Karei sitting aside her horse. Waving he shouted, "Hello! What are you two doing out here?"

Karei looked up, seeing Darhin nearby. She grinned, holding up one arm and waving. ''Traveling. What about you?'' She replied with another grin. Arai lifted his head, ears forwad, and let out a whinny. He snorted slightly, watching Darhin curiously as he drew nearer. Kar remained sitting, glad to be able to relax her legs and back.

"I wanted to pratice some of my sword's techniques, so I decided to come out here in the fields. So what about you? Where are you heading?" He wondered if she would let him join her, he always wanted to travel. He had pacifically wandered away from Calamere to take in the new sites, and maybe head into Elidwen.

Karei shrugged one shoulder casually. ''Currently, the town.'' She said with a slight smirk. She then nodded to his sword as she stood up. ''Are you any good?'' Karei asked with another smirk. Arai had once more lowered his head to grass, no longer interested in their conversation.

Darhin shrugged, "Depends on your definition of good..." He was no where as talented and skilled as he use to be, when he was ten the servants at thier mansion had called him the "Little Beirld" saying that he'll end up surpassing the great hero of Thern, to the endless agation of his brothers. He knew that was no longer true. "I still need a lot more training...so do you mind if I join you to the town. I would enjoy a break from work."

''I don't mind. Company is always welcome.'' Karei replied with a pleasant smile. Arai, however, shot his head up and let out a dissapproving snort. Kar let out a chuckle. ''Don't mind him. He just doesn't like to share my company or his food.'' She said, rubbing Arai's neck with an amused smile. ''If you want, I can help you train.'' She offered after a moment, casting a glance at Darhin.

Darhin considered this, he saw the two swords resting on her hips, he knew she must be a very talented warrior. He smiled, "Sure lets have a quick fight, then we can stop at an inn at the town to rest. The nearest town I believe is Elidwen, is that where we are heading?" He ran his hand across the hilt of his sword, he had never fought without using magic before, up on the mountians he constantly worked it in. Also, afterwards when he snuck out at night to practice, he would always train his elemental skills too. But Karei didn't know of his secret, and he certiantly didn't want her to find out by doing it in a fight. If she was to find out he's an elemental, Darhin wanted to tell her so.

Karei nodded. ''Yes, that's right.'' She said with a smile. She turned back to Arai and pointed off a ways, signalling the horse to leave for the time being. He obviously did not seem happy, for he pinned his ears back and snorted, but abided anyways; her turned, flicking his tail about irritably, and went off to graze. Kar unsheathed one sword, turning and facing Darhin. ''I'll just use one sword for the moment.'' She said with a slight smirk. She wasn't sure how good he was, and at the time she would rather underestimate him.

Darhin saw her draw only one of her blades, leaving the other one on the grass. He knew what it meant, but he didn't comment on it. His trainer once told him it is a great flaw to underestimate your opponent, for it subconsiously causes you to strike with your least amount of effort, and open yourself in many places. However if she wanted to underestimate him, he'll let her, he was here for the experience.
Drawing his sword, Darhin held it in front of him in a defensive position. He smiled at her, "Ladies first." He said, as he made his stance deeper and firmer.

Karei smirked, shifting her position a bit and then swiftly lunging forward. Her attack, at first, appeared to be a frontal attack, then she shifted her footing and turned to one side, her blade swinging toward his torso. It felt very strange to fight on the ground, even if it was just a simple spar. Yes, she started out on foot, though with Arai the fighting was much simpler and quicker. She elt slower and less agile, but did not allow it to take effect. Her movement was still light and quick, though not her best.

Darhin saw the attack from a mile off, his training up on the mountains with Cody was the main reason. Cody had fought all his life in battles and wars, and was very fast, and very deadly on foot. He swung his sword and blocked the attack, and set off to counterattack. Throwing her blade to the left and striking at her torso.
